Remarks

Positive remarks- College have 620 acers plot including Asia biggest digital library, fully residential,better placement etc. Negative remarks- remote location, faculties are not teaching properly, students have to study own his own to pass semester.

Course Curriculum Overview

In this college of btech course every semester have five subjects and at least 2-3 lab. From starting of semester within 2 month their will be mid sem of 30 marks and again after 2 month their will be end sem of 50 mark rest mark of 20 will be count by class test and attendance.

Placement Experience

There are 100% placement in CSE and ECE branch with good packages. But low placement in core branches However this year placement% of core branches increase rapidly, among core branch civil is in higher position contaning companies L&T, GAMON INDIA, ONGC, INDIAN OIL, PRISMA CEMENT etc.

College Events

There are three events in this one is technical and rest is cultural events. Technocis is technical event of 2 days and Incandaesis & Thundermarch is cultural event of 3 days in which many artists perform like COMEDIAN, SINGERS from Bollywood ,BANDS and DJ'S etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of this college is decided by family income of students. Below 1 lakh _tution fee= 0 1-5 lakh _ tution fee= 42000 Above 5 lakh_ tution fee= 62500 per semester And other than this 8500? per sem. have to pay for all categories

Fees and Financial Aid

There is easily available loan for students of nits at discounted rate of interest. And scholarship either government or private available for nits students like NSP, Samsung star scholarship, swami dayanand scholarship. Of minimum 40000? to 2 lakh? per annum.

Campus Life

There are many options for talent guys in sports ,dance,drama,research etc to achieve. College have regularly inter nit sport meet annually including Olympic type Games, badminton, volleyball, cricket, basketball, table tennis, chess etc

Alumni/Alumna

There is regularly event of alumni meets, every year. This is ragging free campus, so seniors tendency is always to help junior and give them advice. Many alumni of this college is at high position, some are IAS, HR of prestigious companies etc and they visit college sometimes and motivate.

Admission

I gave entrance exam of iit-jee and got 132 marks and approx 30k rannk in jee main ganeral category and based on this merit in first round I got nit silchar in civil engineering Branch. There are five more branch including ME, EE, ECE, E&I, CSE

Faculty

There are large number of faculty in this college, specially in civil engineering branch many knowledgeable faculty having M.TECH+ PHD degree from older IITs, but rarely anyone taking his/her responsibility. They are boring.

Building Skills Beyond the Classroom

Likes

The coding culture is the best thing about NIAT. There are very frequent coding competitions that makes students actually learn things and improve their skills.
The faculty members are very knowledgable and supportive. They are also very friendly and helps everyone when in doubt.
The curriculum is totally updated and new. The use of latest technology and AI is very much focused on. Also provide internships from 1st year itself

Dislikes

The strict rules are a bit too much. The pressure is real and becomes difficult to deal with soetimes
There are hardly any cultural activities or programs. All focus is given on coding and tech related programs.
Its still new and no batch has graduated yet so its kind of difficult to record the placement rate

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Remembering College Valuble Insights Feels so memorable being a final year student.

Likes

As i joined into marri laxman reddy institute ,The campus is in a village bakcground it feels so nice to live over their .We do have several sports commisions in our college.
Our college provides sports facility and The campus was so hugee ,The infrastructure is very useful(i am talking about digital teaching lab equipments and all)
The teachers were so friendly with the students and the college has a perfect strcture category for every department .

Dislikes

The teachers were so nice but the college and teachers doesnt support student to enhace the student personal growth.The teachers were take the class by learning the ppt without any conceptutal representing
The infrastructure is good but thier is no maintainance in the college,Campus feels huge but it degradss interms of maintainance and enhance the campus intemrs of neatness .it feels so that after we return back from the holidays
Most importantly,the canteen food is worst.My friend face an incident that he got a dead frog in the manchurian rice.And the food is most coastly maintains low quality

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals,meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Likes

Things I liked they won't charge if they put any event,annual day, they will only charge for farewell that's common l thing in every college they don't show any biased over girl or boy , they won't restrict if boy and girls sits together
They kept more events in 1st year we used to attend them

Dislikes

They stopped keeping events after 2nd year
Lecturers are particular to there subjects like they taught CN subject for 2nd year the same lecture is teaching other subject in next semester
Security watchmens are so strict than clg management

Placement Experience:

Only 4-1 students are eligible for campus placements Name of companies are infosys, concentrix, foundever, teleperfomance, Sutherland,uts etc in that only few members got opportunity to join in that companies. Highest package is 3-4lakhs All the companies which were came to our clg placements are based on call center types only infosys is IT side remaining all companies came us to take for the roles bpo industry voice based roles and non voice based roles My plans after completing the degree to search for the job

Good academics , poor facilities

Likes

Yeah our clg faculty is so Supportive and knowledgeable
Our college good environment and good interaction
Our clg has better infrastructure like labs and library

Dislikes

Our college doesn’t conduct events frequently
The major one is placement opportunities should be improved
And also adminsrative process is slow sometimes

Placement Experience:

Campus placements start from final year. A few core companies and bulk hiring companies visit with average packages , overall placement percentage is average . So I plan to build more skills and purse better opportunities after graduation

Campus environment and facilities are better and easily adoptable
Faculty quality is very high and available for all sections of students
Lab facilities, sports, NCC and NSS camps

Dislikes

Classroom furniture, old buildings and considering other colleges in the town its quite better

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students get eligible for different placement offers and many MNC's and corporate companies offered placements . Average package known to my knowledge is in between 3-4 LPA and almost 70% of eligible students who attended placements were placed in different campanies .

Things I liked in my college is freedom its not too strict students have the freedom to explore and learn, there is no place for partiality.
The staff in college is extraordinary crystal clear concepts will be delivered to students.
The environment of college is quite peaceful to learn and its neither too far or too near to the main city making it accesible to students.

Dislikes

The main problem I have encountered is food theres a routine schedule in mess which bores students and they end up ordering food from outside

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum of the college is extraordinary it prepares us for the real world difficulties. The hospital provides us with lot of expousre we learn to deal with them. The frequency of exams is apt for students enabling us finish and portion and learn thoroughly.

The faculty of the college is quite good
The college is in the middle of city which helps a lot
There is compulsion for 75℅ attendance and the college is open gate

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very poor.. Buildings and classrooms, benches, and computers used are very old
No sports and other extra-curricular activites and no provision for canteen
Campus is very boring.. Toilets are not clean.. The admin staff is very rude

Placement Experience:

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

I really like the infrastructure of my college. Although it's established is 1995 the infrastructure is still pretty good with a huge campus of about 100 acres with good area dedicated to nature as well along with good classrooms and neat washrooms
I really like the faculty that teaches in my college. They are well educated and well spoken. I like their teaching methods too
I really like the course curriculum of my college. It's very flexible and simple. It makes our lives easier and makes the learning process simple as well

Dislikes

I don't like the location of the campus . It's in outskirts and very far from the main city
I don't like the concept of dress code everyday . I think out of 5 working days atleast 2 days should be allowed for civil dress
I don't like it's holiday system. It doesn't give holidays on optional ones declared by the government

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from semester 6 to get placed I guess I'm not sure . Hp, Hul, Deloitte etc are the companies that come in. Highest package is around 58 lakhs after doing mba and the average package is around 10.5 to 11 lakhs. 95% of the students get placed. My plan after getting the degree is work for a couple of years maybe.

Nice college but lot of improvements are required

The faculties are highly knowledgeable, understandable and are helpful in studies and they even mentor us in some important aspects.
Course curriculum is perfectly designed to prepare for any competitive exams that a student may be appearing.
There is not much academic pressure on students. They have ample of time to prepare for any competitive exams.

Dislikes

Management by the college and the faculties are not good
There are not much companies visiting campus. Majority of them are either for non-technical roles or are mass recruiters.
Campus crowd is not good for growth for any serious student.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
