Remarks

My remarks for this college is negetive. 1. No good placement or job opportunities. 2. No good infrastructure, labs, innovatie activities or ideas. 3. No good playground. 4. No recently edition of library books 5. No equal fees structure for students. Rather is dependent on broker person

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose B.tech in Computer science and engineering (CSE). I love this subject and total course curriculum. This course have total 8 semester in 4year. Exam structure is not so good in this college. Most of this private engineering colleges are not so good. Exam is not strictly conducted here.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are hilarious here. Don't know the exact percentage of placement happened per year but I'm sure it is less than 25%. And also the placement companies are even fake something. The want money for bening hire. Its ridiculous! Placement of B.tech students are very low in this college. This college also have diploma. Here job opportunities for diploma students little bit good.

Not so good placement rate but this college celebrate events regularly. This college is best for sports activities like cricket, football, badminton, volleyball tournament than any other private engineering college. List of events celebrated:- 1. Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure feasible. This college also provide Tuition fee discount. Admission fee is not exactly strict rather is flexibel for students. Even one can got addmission with higher fees than other in the same course!

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no good scholarship/loan facility available for students in this college. The only scholarship available that is from government for trial or backward caste. The college only gave some discount on semester fees for early payment with due date. Thats all.

Campus Life

This college have someextracurriculur activities like tree plantation, danceing. Innovatie ideas creator eic.Labs and workshop is not so good. Not so much equipment. Even there is very large number of non workable machine or computer equipment. The college lack student and lack lab equipment.Sports activities is good here. Annual Cricket, Football league tournament taken place. Badminton , volleyball competition happen. But the main problem is a good play ground. There is a ground but is not good for cricket or football and also have not large space. Overal it is okay.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are very good, helpful.This college fully ragging free and junior senior relationship is preety good.I don't have a much alumni network. Because of low placement and job opportunities the alumni network is not good. A large number of alumni is now jobless or doing other work rather than engineering. But they are really helpful.

Admission

For admission in Engineering in West Bengal you have to appear for WBJEE exam. So, first of all I have passed the WBJEE Entrance exam for addmission in B.tech. Then apply for and through counselling process , I got admission in B.tech Computer Science in this college.

Faculty

The college exam and laboratory or study structure is not so good. But the college faculties are nice, polite, friendly and very helpful to students. Well ,class is infrequent as most off the students bunk their class, but the faculty of my college are good and they take class even if there are atleast one student.

Likes

The IIT brand value.Great placements and internship opportunities
Competitive peers and lots of ongoing.Great environment
Lush green campus, lots to explore and great infrastructure

Dislikes

Rigorous academics, hectic exam schedules
Hostel infrastructure is quite old and mess food quality is just acceptable.
Professors teaching style can be quite boring as well

Placement Experience:

Placement statistics of IIT Kharagpur is excellent with multiple offers made across software, quant, consulting , analytics and core domain.Major companies like Google, Microsoft, Optiver, Visa,Mastercard visit the campus each year for recruitment.Highest packages are offered by quant companies and can go upto 2 - 2.5 crore per annum

Helpful Faculties, the faculties over here helped us through out the course
Good clean and green campus with water supply at different places in the campus
Structured syllabus for industrial readiness in the curriculum

Dislikes

Nothing such I have disliked, but some classrooms projector did not functioned properly
Some time the guards unnecessarily behaved rude which I hated the most

Placement Experience:

The placement cell provides us with training programs and internships and also if the students are careful and disciplined in the classroms they can crack through job interviews. There is mock viva at the end semester and also some on campus hiring companies came in our college.

BCREC a underrated college

Likes

In my batch there are 64 student and there is only 17 girls.so the girl boy ratio is good.
This college has the largest campus of all the college in the West Bengal so college campus is really good
As I am a student of information technology so they are teaching me the course subject and also soft skill subjects that can help me in my placement journey

Dislikes

The college is located in rural area which is the bad thing
The course curriculum is not at the level of IIT NITs as we are studying some subjects which are introduced in the late semester which IIT and it and study in their second or third semester
The third thing I don't like is that the Student of the college discriminate among each other like the local residents who are bengali's day prefered their friend as Bengali

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

The college provides a moderately good infrastructure so it is more or less good. However some lab equipments have gotten old so upgrading those would be appreciated.
The teachers and students are very friendly so interacting is very easy. Teachers are mostly experienced and quite knowledgeable in their field of expertise. However the college follows the curriculum suggested by makaut which feels outdated.

Dislikes

The college doesn't give any options to play anything in college in their free time so that's an issue in my opinion. Also college isn't keen on giving NOCs for internships. Also they don't tend to provide funding to projects developed by students.

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

GOOD College at low fees.

Likes

The campus is very big of the college which is about 50 acres and very greenly campus
The events and clubs with sports held in campus is very good and very happening
The placement opportunities in this college is very good and the faculties are very supportive

Dislikes

The infrastructure is bit old and renovates it bit very late which impact in bit difficulty
The senior are very supportive but at the same time they are very strict regarding the discipline which they call it ragging
The location of the college is bit outside of the main city so you can find it bit difficulty in your starting days of living here

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

after 6th sem those students who scored above 7 CGPA are eligible for campus placements. name of companies- TCS,Campgemini,Accenture,Delloite etc. average package -320000 70 percent most of students got placed. I want to job at IT sector after getting the degree.

Fair college according to me

Likes

The college management is really up to the mark. I am from the computer science and engineering department.
Good placements according to the amount you pay.
Good environment for coding and development.

Dislikes

There are a lot of extra clubs which are not so functional.
Hostels are good but not up to the mark .
The play ground is available but not inside the campus.

Placement Experience:

Our college provide really good placements if the student is really eligible for employment. There are adequate no. Of companies visiting the campus. Some big companies are - MICROSOFT, LAB VANTAGE, DELTAX, RTCAMP, DELOITTE, ACCENTURE, PERSISTENT SYSTEMS, IBM, MUSIGMA, TIGER ANALYTICS, KEY SIGHT TECHNOLOGIES, KEYENCE, MANIKARAN POWER, TCS, E&Y etc. The highest package is around 20 lpa and the avarage is around 5 - 6 lpa. Placements are better for cse, it and ece. The core branches have mediocre placements.

The library system is good. With many authors and writers available.
The faculty is helpful and coperative.The faculty helps the students in their studies and day to day problems faced in the college.
The classrooms are enough big to accommodate the strength chosen by the faculty.

Dislikes

The labs are not very well equipped. The monitors and PC are back dated versions.
The washrooms are not very well maintained and they stink.
The faculties are not very helpful in the project work and personal academic life of the students.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students are allowed to sit for placement. Tcs, wipro, Capgemini are the mass recruiters of our college. Other companies visit as well Deloitte, accenture and many more. The average package being is 4 lakhs per annum and the highest being around 10 lakhs per annum.

You can focus on gate, or any other job teachers are helpful no issue of attendance.
easily pass as syllabus is not hard,and get a B.tech degree.

Dislikes

poor infracture, lack of resources such as sports facility.
Less qualified teachers with no PHDs, and familiar with basic knowledge.
No placements, whatever you can do is off campus only

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is perceived as average , lacking specific elements that might make it stand out. In my case, the motivation was not to waste a year by opting for a drop. The flexibility in attendance which let me focus on other interests. The curriculum is same as MAKAUT, and the exam frequency is also controlled by MAKAUT .Areas of improvement is infrastructure and better faculty.

At easy to way to carry degree.

Higher secondary pass with a Science background or Diploma Engineering in any recognized board that approved AICTE no required science background. For 4th B.tech you can take Direct admission through college or for 3rd-year B.tech lateral students you can take admission by sourcing any friends who appeared at that college.
