Likes

The faculty of our college is very well educated and is really good at teaching.
All the doubts are solved in the class only by our respective professors.
The overall crowd of our college is very good.

Dislikes

The campus of our college is a bit smaller as compared to the other colleges.
Students are not allowed to sit in the library
The infrastructure needs to be developed more

Course Curriculum Overview

The course teaches us the subjects which can somehow be used in the real world. We can get good jobs if we have good knowledge of those subjects. But there should be more time between each exam so that students can prepare well and course can be completed properly.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college do provide internship opportunities. We have placement cell in our college and a lot of internship opportunities are provided to the students by the society. The job profiles are mostly of college representatives and co- college representatives, and the stipend ranges between 5,000 to 10,000.

Fees and Financial Aid

So I am currently persuing B Com from Delhi University. The yearly fee for my course is around 10,000 to 12,000 which is to be paid before the beginning of the academic year. Also we have to pay examination fees for every semester which is around 1,500 to 1,800 depending upon the credits of your subjects.

Campus Life

The overall I would like to rate my college a 10/10 based on all the social aspects. The campus life is very good and the overall interaction with everyone is nice. Our college has a lot of societies and there a lot of fests as well in the college. We also have extracurricular activities and sports in our college which helps students to persue their hobbies along with studies.

Admission

Now a days we get admission in DU through CUET only. So, I gave the CUET examination and my score was 678 and I was from general category. Then we have to make a preference list in which we fill all the colleges and courses which we want to study in that college according to our choice. Then, we are alloted college and course from our preference list according to our score and category.

Faculty

So, the faculty of our college is really very good. All the professors are very well educated and resolves all the doubts in the class itself. Talking about B Com we have to study a total of 7 different subjects every semester. So, we study a total of 42 subjects in 3 years. The exams are moderate but something a bit difficult as well but if a student have studied well the can pass easily.

Night Life

The night life is really really good. There is a small market called red Market just opposite to our college. There are alot of small shops and cafes there. All the students in the free time go there only. Students enjoy alot there. Everyone loves to chill in that market after a long hectic day at the college. Also, there is Malviya Nagar Market nearby and all the people go there as well. Taking about safety it is very safe to roam there even during the night.

The faculty members are supportive, knowledeable. Teacher explain concepts clearly and encourage student to participate in discussion
I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

I would rate the course curriculum around 4 out of 5. The curriculum is well structured and covers important subject related to commerce, accounting, finance, economics and business. I chose this course because is provides a strong foundationfor higher studies, competetives exam and careers in the cmmerce field

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

Dislikes

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

Likes

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.
