- This college is known for placements and it is really improving well as it is the one of the oldest colleges.It really concentrates on student welfare, mental health and social interaction skills.
- The negatives are it doesn't provide hostels for everyone for both girls and boys. It depends on the cgpa of each semester with limited hostel seats . Also campus should renovate with bigger campus area
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is actually good and is almost like other NITs and IIT s . It encourages us in many ways and it conducts these different lab activities to increase the communication skills for the future purposes.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fees is divided into two semesters and hostel fees is separated.the total fees reached 1.5 lakh as of tution fees . And hostel fees for 1st sem is 37 thousand as of 2nd sem is 17.5 thousand. This is for OC and OBC without income certificate. For sc,st and students having income certificate the fees is 9,500 per semester. Hostel fees is same for everyone. The government scholarship NSP is available for the low income candidates and there are numerous educational scholarships available and will be circulated through whatsapp groups.
Campus Life
This college is not a big fan of more fests and fresher parties . But 2-3 fests occur which occurs in a very big scale . Library id of an average level . As of sports there are grounds and it's individual interest. These inter nit sports occur in the winter season and also there is decent craze for the sports club here.
Admission
I had applied for Amrita Vishwa vidhya peet in the private universities and I got CSE branch in coimbatore. But I always wanted to join in a NIT or IIT college. So I couldn't be able to leave this seat and join into that college. Moreover the tag of these colleges helps when you want to pursue the further degrees.
Faculty
Faculties are actually decent but as in everybody knows we have to study our own and they just teach you and leaves everyday. But there are few faculty whose explaining is worse . As like in every college there is mid sem and end sem exams. Papers are little tough but okay.
Night Life
There is a public gym which have seperate timings for girls and boys . there's a cafeteria and canteen is also available which is of a decent size . There's also a hotel set up the aluminis. Also a market store , snacks bar and seperate shop for amul products (also a small mart) is available. There may be own gyms in the hostels for boys and girls depending on the block.
