Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum at UVCE provides a strong foundation in core engineering concepts and offers opportunities for practical exposure through clubs like Praveg and Tatva. It includes relevant subjects such as Digital System Design and Object-Oriented Programming, along with project-based learning to develop technical and problem-solving skills. However, the curriculum could benefit from updates to include modern technologies like AI and data science, along with more interactive teaching methods like workshops and case studies. While exams are well-timed, they are often theoretical, and incorporating practical evaluations would improve learning outcomes. Enhancing laboratory facilities and mandating industry collaborations would further prepare students for real-world applications.

Internships Opportunities

5

The Training and Placement Office (TPO) at UVCE plays a pivotal role in facilitating these opportunities, maintaining strong industry connections to ensure students have access to internships that align with their academic pursuits and career aspirations. Through its student batch program, students gain experience in working on multi-faceted projects, with a solid concept and structured approach.

Placement Experience

5

University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering provides amazing placement opportunities for students who wants to achieve their dream. Almost everyone will get placed in this college and the highest placement in this college is 58 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee per year in UVCE is around 45750 rupees. But you should pay this much in the first year and for the rest of the years you should pay only 43500. This fee is for categories other that SC and ST. The people of this category are instructed to pay 750 rupees in first year and the remaining fee will be provided as SSP Scholarship. All other categories also get this SSP Scholarship only if your parents annual income is less that some 3 lakhs.

Campus Life

5

University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering has many clubs and they are divided into 2 groups. Technical and cultural clubs are the clubs of this college. The often conduct events and there will be DJ night and guests for these fests will be few famous personalities who got padmashri and some prestigious awards.

Admission

I chose UVCE over other colleges because UVCE is a government college where you will have many career opportunities in future as it has many placements and fee is also less compared to the other colleges. It is in the centre of city so if is safer for students and you will have friends from other branches and different years so it would be fun to hangout

Faculty

4

University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering is an autonomous college under iit model. Also it is a government college where students can get into this college only through competitive exam like KCET. All the teachers in this coluare very experienced and they will clarify all the doubts. Since we get lot of free time in this college we can work on many real life projects which will help in the future. All exams are conducted in college itself and correction is also done by the professors of our college. You will have 2 internals and the total internal marks are for 50. You will write an exam for 100 marks and they will be reduced to 50. These marks will be added to internals marks and final marks will be provided.

Night Life

5

Night life of uvce is just amazing and people who get to experience that are really lucky. College timings are generally from 8 to 5:15. But people stay in the college even after these timings because they might be preparing for few fests or some group projects.

Other Applied Colleges

B. N. M. Institute of Technology - [BNMIT] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Uvce has better placement than BNMIT

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
