What Students Say

Likes

Environment of University was amazing. All the students respect each others and specially the seniors are very helpfull there. You can learn a lot of things there.
The best thing about cupb is there are a lot students are from south part of india.
If you want to learn about different different parts of india then you should go to cupb.

Dislikes

There are not such things that we can dislike. University is totally new so the shops are very less there.
If you have to buy things you have to go outside the campus .
And sometimes you have to go bathinda to buys things.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of the course is well and good . If you suggest any change in that faculty will listen you and they think about that plan. Faculty also thing about the competition that we have to face after our course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have done my masters from CUPB. It is tottally affordable university. Fees structure was around 12-15K per year for my 2 year masters course. Few of my batchmates got fellowship also on the basis of their Categories.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is Very new so we get tottally fresh hostels and classrooms . but it has some negative points also facilities are very less there. We have to go outside to buy things. Auto's are are available there.

Admission

After passing entrance exam i have many choices even i have choice between DU and cupb. But i selected CUPB because of faculty and course structure. I have gone through all these things and then i opted for the CUPB.

Faculty

Professors of the university are very supportive. They are very friendly in nature . proffesors understand about your problems and help you a lot . The faculty and student ratio is about 1:8 . Exams levels are decent. Faculty even think about the competition levels we have to crack after our courses.

Interview Experience

I have cracked CUCET to get addmision there. Only written exam is conducted for the addmision no other things like Group discussion or interview was there in the selection process. That exam was conducted by NTA.

Night Life

Gym is there with different timings of boys and girls. Library is well and good and you can sit there even full night. Hostel timing is 6am to 10pm but you can stay outside hostel with the permission of your HOD for library or lab purposes.

Good infrastructure, facilities and excellent student life

Likes

Campus and infrastructure is top-notch. It encourages the students to actively participate in activities and events.
University actively organise events and various activities.
Strict adherence to the timetable and discipline.

Dislikes

Labs sometimes lack necessary resources for us to use.
Attendance criteria is 75% which is mandatory to appear for mid sems and end sems.
Sometimes we have Saturdays working which can be frustrating.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Teachers teach the relevant curriculum. The curriculum can be accessed using an online portal cuims. Exams are conducted three times a semester. Midsems are twice a semester. Semester ends with end term examinations.

Likes

The academic facilities is appreciated and the timings of class hours need improvement as need time for competitive
There are lots of events , seminar and good social interactions . It is very good .
The faculties are informative and knowledgeable and the infrastructure is also good

Dislikes

The class timings and the schedule of the course
The attendance criteria must be more not 75 %
The rules for the holidays like submitting the medical certificate and all as because some of the students face a lot of issues regarding this

Placement Experience:

From 3rd semester the students are eligible for campus placements . The companies are dr. Reddy , bicon and more . The highest average package is 12 lakh and the lowest average package is 5 lakh . The students percentage is 50 to 70 % . My plan is to pursue Net and do phd .

Dislikes

Attendance is compulsory and faculty of the department is very strict about the schedule and the important test and assignment which are done one the weekly periods and they deduct your marks on that basis.
Hostel and campus security is very strict as there is security all over the campus
You have to give exams regularly once marked absent you will be detained

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for various intership during their semester period and can also the students in their final semester mostly get the most placements the placement rate is about 90 percent in the courses

Likes

Professor are punctual and always on time
Provide instant medical facility of students
Use of technology for teaching course related syllabus

Placement Experience:

My department offered placement to the students in many biotechnology and other allied health sciences companies like serum India orbit biotech agro biotech etc many of my seniors got selected in companies and got average pakage of 5 lpa last year university provide training for the interviews

Campus placement in the field of zoology may be limitedas many career opportunities require specialised qualifications and further studies. The course helps develop practical, laboratory, and research skills that improve employability. After completing my MSc, I plan to pursue research opportunities, prepare for CSIR-NET, and aim for a PhD. Career.

I like the campus infrastructure and activities
Staff and faculty is very supportive and helpful for students
Curriculum and syllabus for my course are like providing knowledge to students for government exams

Dislikes

Mandatory 75% attendance in every subject
Dress code and uniform for the students are mandatory

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for the placement from 3rd semester from 3rd semester onwards dissertation also started . Students scoring CGPA 75% and more get high chances for getting placement . Company like serums institute of India , biomedical ect are offering placement

Extravagant college

Likes

The campus is very pretty. And the infrastructure is mordern
The classes are very big and projectors are there in every class.
The classmates are very friendly and teachers are soo supportive and helpful

Dislikes

75 percent attendance is there. You have to attend most of the classes
You have to wear the icard in the campus.
You have to attend soo many seminars and webinars inside and outside the campus

Placement Experience:

The placement are very much. You can get internships and online courses. And offer from multinational companies. You can opt for higher studies and fat admission in India as well as abroad. The college provides many opportunities.

Very good opportunities for others

Likes

I appreciate the infrastructure of the classes
I'm interactive with everyone and others are asking friendly
Mentor mentee meetings are also conducted week wise and Teachers are also very cooperative

Dislikes

I usually use to climb stairs till 7th and 8th floor to reach me classrooms which is dislike the most
We can't use mobile phones for some important works too in the classroom as there are some strict rules
I have to go through the stairs in the break too for my hostel food which I dislike because it usually get tired

I love plants that's why I chose this course and my course is giving me more information about plant sciences. The course helps me to gain more knowledge about skills about plants. I chose this course because of my interest in plants

Very appropriate and good university.

Likes

I appreciate the infrastructure of classrooms and laboratory of our department.
I aam interactive with campus life anf social interactions.
Teaching methods are very good. And there are mentor meeting also happen

Dislikes

Msc Geology in CUPB :An Overview

To get a pg admission to Central University Punjab Bhatinda we had to take an entrance exam named CUET PG were we had to clear the cut-off required. The cut-off is different for different universities for the same course Msc Geology. After the entrance exam, the results were published online. Then we had to apply separately for different universities with the CUET PG Score. Then a separate rank list is published for the students who applied for the same.
