Experience with Jamia Hamdard

The only thing that i find lacking in our college is the security, it's not really at par here. There's no checking of i.d before entering so everyone who may or may not be a student here gets an easy entry. They really need to work upon this.

We have semester system rather than yearly exams. Our semester exams comprise of 80 marks every theory subject, and 80 marks every practical subject. We also have 2 sessional exams in each semester. Our course curriculum is very well divided so as to not cause much pressure on the student.

Internships are not provided by the college, but yes if you ask any of the professors they always help and provide contacts. Even our seniors and alumni are always there. As for the placements, we get amazing placements and job opportunities here with good packages.

There are a lot of events being celebrated in Jamia hamdard, most of them are faculty wise. Even the fests of every faculty is different, in our department we also have Rx, it's like a week filled with activities, competitions and yeah, also includes sports. Some common events like Jashn e adab are for the whole college.

Fee structure is definitely feasible. But we have been divided into 2 classes , wherein one group is self funded group, so their fee is higher than the normal one. And yes, it may be a bit expensive for some.

MOMA is one scholarship that's provided to the students from weaker backgrounds and in our vlass of around 55 students atleast 8-10 have availed this, so i would say this is rather good on the part of college.

We don't have much extracurricular activities here, but the labs here are amazing if you talk of the new ones. The older ones still in use are not so good. But you do get all the working apparatus and reagents.

Senior students are really helpful. Not only in providing you with the notes, question papers or their used books but will also guide you in case you need help in making decisions regarding your future. They have also been helpful with the contacts for internships.

The admission process started quiet early as compared to other colleges, we were required to submit the online forms. After which according to our percentages scored we were called in different batches on different days. Wherein we were interviewed by 2 professors. The final result was later on uploaded on the college website.

The faculty is amazing, always ready to help and understanding. They will always be there to guide you. The professors are always there in case you have some doubts in classroom, you can reach out to them in their free time.
