Course Curriculum Overview

5

This college offers many possibilities in mh course bsc chemistry. The previous jam and net results are stunning.Every year morever 40 out of 60 students are cracking jam and net with splendid ranks. Not only that but also it offers so many opportunities for seminar and internship what is quite impressive.

Internships Opportunities

5

It offers good internship opportunities. It offers many summer projects in IACS, IISER Kolkata and IITs. It offers many internship and courses to IISC Bangalore. Not only that you can crack you JAM, NET or GET exam with stunning ranks without getting any tuition. There is no tuition only college and self study. Thats all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Any type of scholarship from state government, private or central scholarship can be applied. In first sem you have to pay 13500rs then 4000 rs per sem only. Fine will be issued if your attendance is lower than 75%. But the good thing is its environment and faculties. It is truly ragging free campus. Its very good for genuine scholars.

Campus Life

5

1. Overall experience is too much good. 2.this college also teach us social knowledge. It offers to serve the society in reality. And it is a compulsory course. So I thing one who is pursuing his degree in this college is too lucky because it teach how to be a good human too. 3. As this is a Ramakrishna mission there is no club culture. 4. The infrastructure is too good every class has its own projector setup. Toilets are well maintained. 3 AC Seminar or conference halls. One Yoga hall. It has big library. It has gym. This all are free.

Admission

This college is nothing less than a iiser. Seriously, except the branding of iiser this college is as same as iisers. I cracked iiser mohali but i joined this college because its environment. Yes it has not a big campus like iiser but the quality of study is splendid. If one could not got iiser I would recomend him to get admit in this college soon.

Faculty

5

There are total 25 faculties in our depertment so you may not feel the shortages of faculty. The main good thing is the faculties are quite friendly and they teaches us with care. The give us extra time also in lunch break if one does not understand.

Night Life

5

It has no hostel but has a good canteen. You can take both dinner, lunch, snacks cofee and also fast food. It has a good gym. Has a good library.the ganga river is beside the college. You can roam at the bank of river.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
