Course Curriculum Overview

3

I heared about ignou that this is the best college for distance learning but there are no any other activities. They don't prepare us for anything. Classes are not that serious. Teaching method should improve. The timing of exams are same as other colleges

Internships Opportunities

3

Ignou don't provide internship to all there courses but they provide internship to many different course i only know few like they support b.ed courses, psychology honours, and many other couses. Ignou takes practical also from different courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ignou fees structure is different for different courses and the fees for BA English honours (BAEGH) is 4500-5000rs per year and the examination fees is 800-1100 per year basically it depends on how many subjects you have. No the fees is not increasing. They have internships option also but only for some courses.

Campus Life

2

Basically in ignou we don't have that opportunity like regular college for instance campus life, clubs and all. So the only thing we have that assignments, books and exams. So we don't have that regular college life

Admission

I didn't apply for any college that time i only applied for cuet exam but sadly that my marks are little less than which general category needs. So i applied for the distance learning from ignou and the admission process is very simple. The registration forms was out then i fill that after that other steps like any other college do

Faculty

2

We don't know about basically we have distance learning so no one gives much importance to us. So for us here are only two things fir college we do assignments and give exams once in a year and the whole book is in question paper.

Night Life

3

In my college there is no night life honestly everyone know about ignou and it has no night life. But yeah regular college or any other university has night life but ignou Basically what can we expect from open university.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
