Course Curriculum Overview
Keeping in mind of the current competitive world I think mathematics and computing is a very good branch. it takes about the mathematical aspects and ideas that we can use in computing world . It can make day to day problems effective.they conduct two exams first mid sem and then end sem also classtest on a frequent basis is a plus point
Internships Opportunities
One can do internship right from the first year.one can do even at college and also other companies. Few intership opportunities come from Amazon , flipkart,cisco,jp morgan ,zscalar , ZS , accenture,and many more where you can expect a stipend of 50 thousand
Placement Experience
Students from third year are eligible for placement. This year around 120 companies visited for placement . Microsoft,amazon,ZS, reliance,dealshare, cisco , flipkart. My plan is to do job after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
For students having annual income more than 5 lakh is supposed to pay 2 lakh of institution fee. For people between 1-5lakh is is around 1lakh and for people below 1 lakh it is nearly 60 thousand. The institute also provide some scholarship according to your annual income .
Campus Life
The campus life here at nit Durgapur is good .you get a good exposure to all clubs and societies where you allowed to join after going through several round so auditions. Here senior are very helpful. Library has more than 1.7lakhs of books and it is very easily accessible
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are neat and clean . It accommodates 3 person in a room.Mess food is really good and you can refill as much as you want . They offers food 3 times a day morning,noon ,and at night . The registration was done through sbi e-collect and is very easy .there is 24×7 electricity supply in the hostel
Admission
My college is among the top ten nits in India. It's well designed curriculum make me choose it . Also presence of a good placement and scenarios is also a plus point . Nit Durgapur has a nirf ranking of 44 in engineering category. I got admission by qualifying jee mains 2024. The cutoff for my branch is around 98.5 percentile for home state and other state or is around 99 percentile
Faculty
The faculties here are very supportive and friendly.They share the day to day problems of the society and encourages us to be a better human being.They are always available even after the college hours .
Night Life
Night life of nit Durgapur is very cozy and soothing. My college is of 196 acres. There are gyms and volley ball courts and badminton courts . There are around 3 cafeterias where food and snacks are freshly and newly prepared. For first year hostel timings are 8:30 pm
