Remarks

If you are looking for a fun-filled college life with lots of activities which go with you without disturbing your academics, then, Christ University is the best place for you. You'll be taking forward with you a brand name of the Christite community.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very well managed and organised. Digital resources have been used to the best possible extend. Comparing to other institutions, lot of the happenings here are computerized and transparent.

Internships Opportunities

The college do provide interships to students of various department. The institution has tie-ups with a number 9f foreign universities which regularly choose students to work with them. I personally haven't participate in any interships offered by the university, but have heard from my friends that the stipend and work experiences are decent.

Placement Experience

1.5

The Chriat University gives utmost importance to the academic excellence of its students. But, placements and job opportunities are considerably much lower for the undergraduate students. Management and Legal departments are good at placements but the rest lag behind.

College Events

4.5

The college has a wide range of a activities throughout the year. Right from dance and music competitions to highly competitive debate and speech competitions. A dancer or musician could find a heaven within the campus of Christ university. The major fests and events are Blossoms, InBloom, Darpan, Bhasha utsavam, Ethnic day, Lavasana, etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Considering the high quality facilities and features a student received, the fee structure of the college is very less. For many courses, it is as low as Rs 40k per year. There are different policies for people from Karnataka.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers an annual Rs 10000 deduction in fees for well performing students from the lower class. I have also heard about incentives provided to students who have represented the college in arts or sports events.

Campus Life

4.5

There is scope for all kinds of extra-curicullar activities right from sports to bird watching. The college offers two large libraries with a huge number of books. There are 3 basketball courts and one cricket, badminton, tennis, volleyball courts.

Hostel Facilities

3

The college covers a large area with six different buildings and many playgrounds. The hostel facilities are good but limited to few. Most students chose to live in private hostels outside the campus.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are really helpful. There is not a little of hatred or clashes between the seniors and juniors. They are very supportive and close. During the first few weeks, they had planned a good number events and parties to welcome the juniors.

Exam Structure

The college follows a dual semester system. That means, each year consists of two semesters. Each semester has a final exam which decides 60% of the total marks. There would be three CIAs or 'Continuous Internal Assessments' of which the second would be an exam and the other two would be activities or researches.

Admission

The admission process was a half day long procedure. There was three different methods of examination all conducted in the same day. An MCQ which tests the candidate's basic knowledge of the subjects, a short essay writing on a social issue as well as a life experience and an interview. The written exams were easy enough while the interviewers were very friendly. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college can be considered as the backbone of the institution. They are well experienced and humble and friendly. A large incentive to the students is that most 0f the faculty doesn't choose to interfere with the students outer-academic activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English curriculum at the Central University of Karnataka is comprehensive and academically relevant. The course covers British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, Literary Theory, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, providing students with a strong foundation in language and literature. The interdisciplinary approach under NEP and the availability of electives were among the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected BA(English) course. Because I was quite good at English that's why I chose it. And I still Didn't go to college. Because our class starting date didn't announce by the college (Kittel arts college, Dharwad). That's why I have no idea about teaching staff and facilities. Of course, I hope it will be the best that I heard about this (kittel arts college, Dharwad) college. I heard only positive comments about this college.

Placement Experience:

In the final year students become eligible for placements and we have placement cell also. In 2nd year only we have attended 2-4 news channels interview and training. But due to pandemic, we didn't attend placements and all. And our seniors to didn't attend for placements because they are interested in higher education. So the percentage of placements is not clear, but for us, they prepared fully to attend any type of job interviews and also to handle all juniur of news channel and newspaper.
