Remarks

I am very thankful to my college, my teachers for making me what I am today by teaching and making my basics regarding the subject very strong. The college has a very good library which houses enormous books which can be used by the students for their references. In Mysore this is the only science college which has maximum combinations, good infrastructure and facilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is very good and covers the concepts relating to subjects in detail and is made by keeping higher studies as well as industrial work in mind which will favour the students in their future.

Internships Opportunities

No. No internship is provided by the college. Students should search for internship programmes on their own and can apply for them and their respective department lecturers will help them to maximum extent possible in the same.

Placement Experience

3

There is a placement cell in the college which any student can contact but placements take place only in certain subjects. All departments do not have placement programmes. Placement can be ensured by contacting placement cell of the college.

College Events

4

The college has: Cultural fest Sports events Yureka College fest Competitions (art, dance, drama, music) All the competitions are good provided the students participate actively and enthusiastically.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible and the college even offers various scholarship programmes to the deserving students and the fee structure is quite low which is affordable by every student. The college provides Maximum facilities in a very low fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not provide any loan facility to its students. The students have to pay the fee for entire academic year in advance and upon that every semester exam fee is collected which needs to paid in the local bank branch.

Campus Life

4.5

Extracurricular activities are always actively going on in the college. The only thing a student needs to do is find his extracurricular activity of his or her interest and participate in the same actively. Sports and other extracurricular activities take place in the college very often and college encourages the students to take part in them.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I have not stayed in the college hostel so I do not have any idea regarding the same. As one of my hostelite friends told me the food provided by the hostel is not up to mark at the same time is not too bad as well. So staying in hostel shouldn't be a problem.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no alumini network and almost many of us are not even in contact with our seniors. I think the college should take a look at this and try organizing alumini meets and should try bringing it's old students together.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is also good but very tedious as a student has to give two internal exams, practical exams and theory exams as well. There is lot of gap provided between two exams which ensures that the students get sufficient time to study.

Admission

I got admission through merit list following which I had a councelling programme which got me into admitted to the college. Later I paid the course fee and the admission process was completed. The classes resumed shortly after the admission.

Faculty

4

My college faculty members are very good. All departments have very good professors who are well qualified and highly experienced in their respective subjects and teach students very nicely. The faculty members are very well versed in theory as well as practicals.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.
