Course Curriculum Overview

4

Biotechnology is nowadays a very good course for students so i choose this course. Time difference between two internal exams is 1 month and it is very much sufficient for us. There was no difficulty for exam as the questions was from learning materials only.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't get any scholarship and there is no scholarship from college authorities. I have paid 150000 per year for 4 years as i admitted through COMED K exam. Fees are less for SC and ST students for particularly karnataka state students.

Campus Life

5

There was 2 libraries one is central and another one is under a department. Every year, they organised one annual function around december month for 3 days. Clubs and studrnt associations were there. Mainly every events were organised by that student association.

Hostel Facilities

2

Facilities were very bad as bathroom draining system was not good and if i goes to complaining for it they won't come to resolve it. Meal quality was good but menus were continuously repeated. Hostel fees according to room and facilities was very much high. When I had so.e emergency to go home as my mother was not in good condition, she was hospitalised that time also they were not ready to allow me for leave.

Admission

I applied for Hooghly women's college for BSC microbiology after that i got a chance for admission in KLE Technological University for BE Biotechnology as it is professional course so I choose it. I gave COMEDK exam for BE Biotechnology admission.

Faculty

4

At my time, There were 9 or 10 faculties and 55 students in each year. There was 2 internal exams and 1 semester exam that is the final exam in that time practical exam was also there. I can't take their names as it will be very much personal but my research mentor was very good, supportive. And there was 1 faculty who only supports or favors his own favorite students.

Interview Experience

5

I faced CBT exam for admission that is based on maths, general knowledge, physics and some chemistry questions and admission counselling after that which was held in bangalore after 7 days of that exam.

Night Life

5

Hostel timings didn't match with college timing but it is under college authority itself. Sometimes for project work, i returned at 7:30 to hostel but they scolded for it. Locality is safe for women and people are very much respectful towards women.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the NIAT curriculum around four out of five. In my opinion, it is good that the curriculum is not only based on theoretical studies. The inclusion of coding, projects, assignments, and practical knowledge is quite engaging for the students, as they can apply the acquired information in practice. Additionally, I find the curriculum up to date compared to the standard Btech syllabus, which mainly focuses on theoretical background. However the curriculum could have fewer assignments, as some of them are rather time consuming and require additional study to achieve a better understanding of a particular subject.

Placement Experience:

The on-campus usually starts in 6th Semester. A company called MathCo was the first company it came for the role of analyst. Around 5-7 people got selected. The average package would be usually around 4-4.5 LPA, but highest package was 6.25 from PlanetSpark for role of Sales. The percentage is nearly to 10-12%. After degree, get a job and work for atleast 2 years for learning current trends is my basic thought as of now.
