Remarks
The college is quite old and though new buildings are being made if u are not a fan of old buildings then u will face a little problem. Some profs are quite egotistical. It can be said that thoigh their knowledge in the field is 2nd to none their teaching ability is not that great. However all in all it will be a great experience
Course Curriculum Overview
Extremely well balanced course but the core subjects have more classes than other streams and classes on saturdays and sundays or late nights are quite common. Exams are mostly conceptual i.e u need to have a thorough understanding of the subject to get along
Internships Opportunities
College doesnt provide internship for core streams mostly.for cse it companies come for summer intern etc. For core companies hardly 2 or 3 companies come for intern because people mostly go for summer training or reasearch. The companies that do come include trf, l&t , amazon etv
Placement Experience
Exceptionally well placement status. Cse and IT have full placement. Companies like google oracle amazon etc come.analytics company like de shaw, zs associate pwc also visit. A total of more than 135 companies visit the campus and interviews start feom early august to late july. Core companies include l&t, tata, simplex, volvo, vedanta, afcons, shapoorji, iocl , ongc, etc
College Events
Previoisly a lot of events were celebrqted starting from recstacy the cultural fest, aarohan the technical fest, apart from these a no. Of smaller fests including games like paintball, treasurehunt, poems, motorzundung etc also take place
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is feasible. A total of approx 2.8lacs over 4 yrs and 2000 in each semester for mess. Considering the infrastucture, placement the fees is quite less especially if u are a cs or it guy. An average result will definite result in an above average job
Fees and Financial Aid
Theres no such loan or scholarship as such but after 1st year the topper of each department is given a scholarship of 25k for 1year. If there are any other scholarship i dont know about.however some clubs hold competiotions which give cash prixlzes ro the winners
Campus Life
There are 2 major fields, one batminton court, volleyball court, tennis court, gymnasium, sac, gym. So name any game and u can play it here and that too without any hinderence. Labs are quite extensive with old age equipments to new age tools and gives an idea how calc were done before.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel infrastructure is not upto mark. However new hostels are being made and college infrastructure is being improved but the hostel food and facilties are not that is expected especially that of the 1st 2 years. Final year students enjoy single room and status of living is better. However mtech students , foreign students have good hostel facilities
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni base is quite strong and every year there is an alumni meet wherein alumni gives short speech on their college experience. Some alumni are notable hr bod members of companies who in tirn bring those companies to the campus. Some are entrepreneaurs.almost all alumni members are helpful at the least
Exam Structure
Dual semester system.total 8 semester over a period of 4 years and u have to clear all sub in each semester before being promoted to the next. the exams are 3hrs long , papers are set by prof themselves and checked by them too so a relief there
Admission
The admission process was simple. During my time the board marks and joint entrance namely jee mains score was taken into account.An average score of 200 marks with decent 90+score in boards was enough to fetch a call from this prestigiois college
Faculty
All faculty members are masters in their own fields.but some are friendly whereas others are not. They students conducting research under their supervision , some of them uave ties with foreign univ and places like cern etc.
