What Students Say

Likes

Good qualified teachers maximum have done phd
Good infrastructure and we have good labs in aerospace department
They do annual sports meet and cultural programs

Dislikes

The labs in some departments are old but now they are renovating that
Limited cultural programs and strict rules
No much freedom for students even though we are engineering students

Course Curriculum Overview

Ours course curriculum is VTU (Visveshwaraya technological University) board. Our college comes under vtu so all exams scheme are based on vtu rules and regulations. For upcoming 2025 batch out college is autonomous under VTU.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 105060 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fess vary based on branches we opting, for me i joined aerospace engineering through kcet my fees is one lakh five thousand per year, but for my friends who joined through management is also one lakh, but at present 1.5 lakh for one year. For various branches cost varies from 2 to 4 lakhs for management seat. We get only government scholarship yearly 18,000 thats all. Fees i mentioned incudes all types of fees.

Campus Life

Annual festival name is sambrama and we celebrate kannada rajyotsava grandly. We have big central Library we get all types of books related to education. As ours is one of bgs institutions they celebrate annual sports meet. They run many clubs branch wise.

Admission

I was interested in studying aerospace engineering and it was available in this college so i got admission here through kcet in 2nd round of counselling. In Karnataka there are only two colleges having aerospace engineering so i joined here. Our college aceepts kcet, comedk, dcet lateral entry, cutoff vary based on yearly and cet ranking got response we get while admissions. Cut off in details i dont know but for computer science kcet cutoff is nearly 20 thousand

Faculty

Techers are good and interactive with us. We have 3 internals per sem and two lab internals and one final exam for each sem, we have 8 sems in 4 years. The exams are not too easy and not too tough it is in medium level.

Night Life

Our college has a good gym and good indoor for badminton, we have a volleyball court, basketball court, and a big cricket ground with Good pitch and two practice net pitches are there very good for sports and our college is open for 24/7 evryday.

A great place for learning and career growth

Placement Experience:

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

My life at CMR - University

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

My campus life so far

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.

I would rate 5 out of 5. I specially enjoyed being involved in activities like ego and Rns, which made my college life more engaging. College provides good atmosphere, and I got good friendship in the college.

One of the best colleges or universities for B Tech and pocket friendly

Placement Experience:

The College was there for more than 10 years , but there was only Post graduate courses available , like M-tech , Msc , etc. The College for B-tech has started just before 2 years , there are no batches which has been output till now. The students are also waiting to see the batches to get output and see the placements taking place. As a student I am also eager about the campus placements.
