Course Curriculum Overview

3

I did not choose Electrical and Electronics because i love it . I did so because it was the most affordable and supposed to grow in the near future . I really did not have any idea on which course to choose. So the aspect that influenced my decision is the course affordability and availablity. The curriculum does not make you real-world ready . It all comes to you and how you prepare outside the course. And thats what we are taught

Placement Experience

3

Most students get placed. But most do not get placed in their dream companies because of the strict placement filtering process. They do get placed in IT companies as freshers. The placement drives start from around the 6th, 7th semester and by the 8th semester most of the students are placed. Some persue higher education in different states, countries.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is the same throughout the course duration i.e, for BE Electrical and Electronics for me; it is 95,000 per year which includes the transportation charges . There is no book fees as they wont be providing you books, but there is a library in the college from which you can borrow outdated books for free. The fees for IT, CSE, AIDS are roughly similar around 120,000 year +/-(10-12,000 depending on the course), ECE, Biomedical are around 100,000 /year. The caution fees is around 3000 if i remember correctly and, for me at the time of registration the registration fees was 10,000 which was deducted from the main fees. Exam fee comes around 3000/semester Sc/St scholarship waiver is around 50,000 first graduate waiver is aound 20,000 the scholarship amount is covered by the government . [Now that the college has attained autonomous status the fees for the upcoming year admissons and course fees may be increased .]

Campus Life

2

Campus life reminds you a lot about school . The festivals and events aren't grand but they are good and you can have fun with your gang if you manage to find like minded people. People like that are on short supply these days. around 3-4 events including culturals and once a year symposiums , once a semester IV visit. Only the suject books are available in the library. Some classrooms are equipped with projectors most aren't but individual projectors are available for use There isn't much social life or social groups or clubs .The only semi active club is the rotaract club Least amount of focus is given to sports. The hostellers may play given that they have their own gear and accesories

Admission

I chose the college mainly because I was confused and got a call from the office of a company associated with the college (Garuda). The people there were convincing enough at that time for me to register . I had a good enough cut off I could have gotten into better colleges like Rajalakshmi Institute of Technology, St joseph, or universities with better environment. I could not secure rank<100.000 in the viteee and it was a shot in my confidence to apply for similar colleges. The admission process after the registration was fast and simple but I was not satisfied with my decision for the first 4-5months I still am not. But the management is taking small improvements on their side.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is aound 1:23. My department faculties are very approachable and are knowledgeable in their subjects . I like all my faculties, but sometimes the class isn't the most engaging . The subjects are tough and the rush to complete portions and the teaching methods to do so is soo 1 dimensional and non engaging that it feels like being in school again . The exams are getting tough by the semester .

Night Life

3

I have no clue about the campus life at night because I am a day schollar . My hostellar friends hangout in the hostel most of the time. There are hangout places around within 5km radius .hostel timing

Other Applied Colleges

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)

The fee was out of my budget range.

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming.
