Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum currently followed os actually pretty up to date and yes it is relavant to the current market too. Many students feel the same in our campus. It prepares us pretty weel for the real world applicatipn and the job market.Maybe the teaching can be improvised a little bit and quality of faculties too. Exams are pretty frequently conducted which keeps us attached to the syllabus and the level is also pretty above average so it isn't very easy to pass all the subjects.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internship oppurtinites are pretty low as comparwd to job opportunities in our college so most of the people try for off campus internships. College semds limited internship offers through mail for some limited companies amd roles. Some companies sich ad paypal, nvidea provide a decent stipend or performance oriented internship.

Placement Experience

4

Placements stats have been increasing in our college from the past 3-4 years. People are eligible for the placements from the end of 6th sem or from the very start of 7th sem. Some of the to tier who visit our companies every year are hyundai, amazon, microsoft, flipkart, motorq, etc... And also some mass recruiting companies such as TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, etc.... TCS has a recprd of taking highest intake from our college. Highest package touches 1Cr/year and lowest are given around 5-6LPA.Average touches around 12LPA.Companies come and offer various roles here so that students can apply as desired by them.I myself plan to maintaon a very good cgpa and sit for the placements and crack a good package and excel in it

Fees and Financial Aid

Vit follows the category wise system on the basis of rank scored by you in VITEEE. There is a total of 5 categories. I currently am in category 2 so my tution fees per year is nearly 3 lakh and hostel costs aprund 1.5lakh per year. For category 5 it costs 4.95 lakhs per year only tution fees and for category 1 it is 2 lakh per year. For economically weaker people college provides loans in less interest rate whoch is quote helpful. And u gent cash rewards upon scoring the highest gpa in your branch.

Campus Life

5

Our campus is well known for the fests conducted. Every day you will fond some club hosting some event in some corner of the campus which students can attend as required by them. Two major fests are conducted namely GRAVITAS(the tech fest) and RIVERA(the cultural fest).Bith are celebrated a grand scale. Our library is very big amd you can nearly get all kinf of books there amd all the class rooms are well equipped with smart boards and white boards. Standing out in sports is a little difficult here becauss of the crowd but frequent sports leagues are held. There are a total of 160-170 vibrant clubs and chapters from whoch students can choose any of them as per their wish

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostels arw actually very good in VIT. Wide range of rooms 2,3,4,6,8 bedded rooms both AC and NAC in AC itself you get divisions namely Deluxe and normal. In delux you get normal songle beds but in normal you get bunker beds. The mess quality totaly depends upon the caterers you get. The best here is the darling mess other are also pretty decent. From the second year rooms are totally dependent on your cgpa which is actually quote good and bad both. Hostel are actually affordable and are value for money.

Admission

As everyone my first choice were IIT and NIT being a general candidate getting a good branch in any of these institutions was actually very tough for me even after getting 95 percentile. I wasnt able to give BITSAT due to some reasons and the next best option was obviously VIT and as expected the exam went well and getting my desired branch didnt make me think twice before choosing this college. AS the admission in VIT is solely based on the VITEE rank and above 60% criteria in boards. I had other colleges in my hand such as Amritha,SRM, Manipal, etc.. But out of all these VIT feels the best

Faculty

4

Faculties are pretty promising as some are very goood and absolutely well in teaching but on the contrary few are very worst. You can also do research under your faculty. You surely will never face a shortage of faculties in this college because the ratio has been maintained perfectly amd balanced. We totally get to give 3 exams in a semester amd the level of exams are pretty decent. You would surely have to work hard to get a great gpa.The course work is actually relevamt till a extent as compared to other private colleges across the country. There are some particular subjects in which many students fail such as BEEE, Differential equations, etc... And overall the faculties are all pretty chill and approachable.

Night Life

2

The whole city of katpadi os just developed cuz of VIT. You may find plenty of hangout spots inside the campus itself there's a food court near the SJT block amd theres a dominos too and many canteenes where you can easily hangout with your friends. Speaking about the night there isnt much to say because it is nil in vit as we have time curfews in hostels for boys and girls both. There are paid gyms inside the campus itself and free gyms too. For boys its 9pm the curfew time to get into hostels and for girls too ots the same. Outside the campus you may find many cafeterias, turfs, hills, etc. to hang out

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.
