Likes
- Exposure to extra cirricular activities, the exposure may vary according to the college. In case of south campus of du specially gargi gives a lot of opportunities to showcase your talent.
- Fests and Festivals - Specially for students from other states, through these celebrations it gives a very homely vibe. And Gargis fest its one of the best fest of whole DU
- Teachers - All the teachers are well Qualified and acquires best of the knowledge of their subjects.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure- In case of buildings they are too old, it must be improved
- As i always have been in coed school, i wont say that girls college is boring but ya i can see a little less exposure then the coed ones.
Course Curriculum Overview
I preferred for bcom hons but ya from last yr du gives a bcom student to take bcom hons degree by pursuing 4th yr. So im happy with that. Exams are moderate, it would be easy if u study from the start.
Internships Opportunities
Internship recently offered is ELEVATE 5.0 which is the fifth addition of the annual internship fair. The other one is for the invest4edu for which the stipend is performance based The other one is for Youth India Foundation.
Placement Experience
As far as i have seen the placement cell of our college is quite active and give opportunities for internships. As far as placement is concerned, im in 1st yr and it is yet to take place. As per my research it gives an avg package of 6 lakhs p.a
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly fees for bcom in Gargi College is 18000, it may vary in different colleges of du. And if youre in a society you may have to give funds which are nominal for fests and all. In case of scholarships DU gives various scholarship opportunities.
Campus Life
Tha annual fest REVERIE is one of the best du college fest including various cultural activities, Concert Night. Festivals are celebrated with full enthusisam. Tha accessibility to library and chromebooks is very easy and is of great help. But the wifi connectivity in the college is poor. And the college doesnt have wifi to give to its students.
Admission
Obviously i preferred north campus, i qas alloted Gargi through CUET. I didnt have any choice for college????. But ya i got into bhu too, but personally i preferred du for better exposure and placements.
Faculty
DU has semester system so the exams are held at the end of every six months. They generally go upto a month. Teachers are mixed in behviour. But they teach us with full knowledge. And yes the availability of classes is very difficult due to lack of infrastructure.
Night Life
Hangouts spots of Gargi collge is Caffeteria, Canteen, Sacred Garden and there are many cute places to sit and have fun with your friends. College doesnt have a gym but has various sport activities to join.
