Likes

The teachers here are very good, who will help you in studies and cleanliness is taken care of in the college campus .
Classes are held regularly as per the time.
There are special societies available to help you advance in the field you are interested in like dance, sports, UPSC, etc.

Dislikes

First of all, remember the area in which the college is located is a bit of a problem for the students.
The college cafeteria is not that good . you will find the items here overrated and the quality is not good.
The fee of this college is higher than other colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees of my college is Rs 25000 which is more than other colleges Delhi University .And this fee will have to be paid almost the same every year. Scholorship form is also available here but you have to be alert for it.

Campus Life

SLC offers a vibrant student life where you can interact with peers from diverse backgrounds. as a DU college, it hosts various cultural fest, academic events, and informal gatherings. The college has multiple societies and clubs catering to different interests. This college infrastracture is so good comapare to more DU colleges.

Admission

I don't know about this college before admission ,how this college is ? I got to Know about it from the website of DU. On DU website this is mention as a north campus college . so kept this college on upper of the prefence . but after coming to the college , i came to know from the my senior that it is an off campus college .

Faculty

The Faculty members here are very good . they try to help you in your studies as much as they can. you will find different types of course in this college. like B.A (H) and (P) , b.sc, b.com etc.Here Exam is taken on the Base of New Education Policy and making System is based on CGPA.

Night Life

Shyam lal college also provide nightlife .SLC (E) campus which is evenig college . in this college you have not found any type of hostel. here student live in p.g or flat around college . this p.g or flat has more rent . The nearest metro is welcome or shahdara and near college DTC bus stop is also available.

A Memorable College Journey

Likes

I like the college environment trees and plants also fountains .
Also like study material which is provided by teachers.
Also like eating in the hostel near the college.

Dislike more homework provided by the teacher

One of the strongest aspects of the institute is the faculty and the academic environment. Frequently members are generally experienced and approachable.
The teaching methodology includes case studies, presentation, group, assignments, group, discussions, projects, and practical assignments.
Another positive aspect is the exposure to corporate and professional life.

Placement Experience:

Lbsim has a structured campus placement process with participation from companies across sectors, such as consulting FMCG, IT/ITES , BFSI, marketing and operations. The institute provides students with placement preparation through aptitude test, mock interview interviews, group discussion, resume, building and corporate interaction.

Crowd that come is good and decent. intelligent people.

limited campus space compared to other bschools

course curriculum is relevant and mostly what the market wants in future and whats coming ahead for us. Python is taught as its going to be huge ahead and other things are also added. There is not much gap between mid term and end term as trimester are short.

We have well maintained library with more than 40000 books and documents, there are study cabins and all facilities required to have a productive day
There ample opportunites provided to students to amp up their game. The clubs and societies themselves take initiative to provide certifications to students, more than case comps are floated and students are encouraged to take part in them
The level of discipline and commitment expected of us is very similar to the other top MBA colleges, multiple assignments, deadlines, case submissions etc. The curriculum also requires students to make use of resources like Bloomberg and prowess.

Dislikes

The quality of cohort can be better. The quality is deteriorating from the senior batch to the juniors
Not being a residential insititute is a big challenge, as the load of work is the same as any residential insitute but most students also have additional buden of travelling which becomes very taxing in the long run.
There is some level of politics that goes on in student societies which can become toxic sometimes.

Placement Experience:

The college actively provides placement support, students are eligible for placements from the first trimester itself. Last year more than 150 companies took part in the placement process. The highest offer made was 24 LPA and the average was 12.32 LPA. 99% of the 2026-2028 batch got placed by April 2026.

Honestly, the curriculum is quite good and covers the main subjects needed for B.Pharm. I chose this course because it gives a good mix of pharmaceutical theory and practical knowledge. The practical classes help in understanding the concepts better and the course provides a useful foundation for further studies and future jobs in the pharmaceutical field.

Affordability in terms of fee structure and degree they don't have huge amount of fee for any particular program.
Market value as its the oldest and known college of delhi university and their new buildings makes it value for money college.

Dislikes

college do not have proper hygiene in terms of classroom and campus

its highly reletive as they claim and mention in their course structure. they overall difficulty level the exam level are also moderate and if its about the areas for improvement they should focus key campus and library area its should be accessable to all

Canteens are the best in this college and food is hygienic
College infrastructure is good and maintained
Connectivity to this college is good just beside the college gate metro is there

Dislikes

Small campus size around 7 acres and large crowd
Library is really small ,there is not much space in library
Strict rules and regulations like you can't play untill 4 pm in the college ground

Placement Experience:

From the end of third semester students are eligible for placement. Tcs, accenture, Deloitte,amazon, samsung etc. Highest package is 42 lakh offered by Amazon. Eighty to ninety percent student get placed . I want to work in faang companies right now .
