Jain University Bangalore, B.Sc, Forensic Sciences

Remarks

Our university is one of the named and reputated universities in our country. The quality of education is good. The faculty is understandable and supportive. But it is a very expensive university. The infrastructure and labs are also not well maintained.they don't invest in infrastructure and equipments at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Forensic science is a very interesting subject. As there is an increase in crime rate in our country, it needs forensic experts who can help in solving the crime and the investigators to move forward in the case. Justice can be given to the victims with the help of both police and forensic science department.

Internships Opportunities

There is no internship provided in our college.for forensic science am sure it is not there. But there are so many courses provided by our university. I don't know about other courses whether they will provide or not.

Placement Experience

2.5

Yes there are placements. So many companies come for the placements. But the management people have good opportunities for the jobs. Our seniors are placed in abroad also. There are some requirements to be eligible to sit in the interview.

College Events

4

Based on the type of department the events are celebrated. For every department there are some events like Anveshana, krithya, crestas etc. We will celebrate every festival regardless to the religion.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure in Jain is very expensive when compared to the other universities in our country. It is very expensive college. Same for every course. As it is a private university it will charge more when compared to other universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. Scholarships are provided by our university.it will be provided bin different categories. Based on education, sports, singing, dancing, ncc, nsc etc. Their will be a eligibility criteria for getting the scholarship.

Campus Life

2

Our college is full of extracurricular activities. It encourages a lot. Labs are good but there is no proper instruments and infrastructure. Their are no proper instruments in lab. Sports and all are good. And our college has won so many awards in sports like karate, football. Not only that in ncc and Nss also we got so many credits n awards.

Hostel Facilities

4

I won't stay in college hostel so I don't know how will the infrastructure and facilities.hostel is also very expensive in our college. Fee n hostel cannot be affordable by the normal people. But I heard that the food provided is good and hygiene. That's all we need in any hostel which can be healthy for the students.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year they conduct a alumni meet. In which the previous year students will come and share their experiences with us.which will be very useful for our future. They are helpful and guide us in right direction. Like what we have to do after the completion of course etc.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is by the following way. There will be internal, preparatory exam and then final semester exam. In between there will be practicals with continuous assessment and then a final practical or final CA is conducted.

Admission

I got admission through entrance. There are three rounds. First is written test, continued by GD n then finally personal interview. Later based on our performances they will send the merit list mostly in a week u can get the result.Without entrance also u can get the admission into this university.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college is very good and they are very understanding and fun loving. Explains the concept very easily which can be understandable by everyone.they support us to study hard and help if we didn't get any concept.i don't think in any college or university I can find such good and understanding faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

Placement Experience:

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
