- The campus is very small and the food of canteen is also average
- Few classrooms donot have AC which makes it suffocating during summers

Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are held in the span of 6months. The odd semester occurs in December/January and the even semester occurs in May/June. The course prepares you for the IT industry, teaches the possible outcomes of the field and also prepares you for competitive exams like GATE
Placement Experience
The 4th year,in the 7th and 8th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies such as TCS, cognizant, Deloitte and many more come to college for placements. If not in campus, students can also apply for off campus jobs as well. My plan after getting the degree is to do higher studies
Fees and Financial Aid
For the 2026 batch, the total course fees is 5.5 lakhs though the amount increased for the current batches. The 5.5 lakhs is divided for 8 semesters. Other than that you need to pay 1200 rupees for the exam enrollment. For TFW category the fees is less in college, it is a special criteria given to few students.
Campus Life
In each year, there is an annual fest called MESMERIZER held in January organised by the eco cultural club of college. Along with that sometimes departmental fest are also held. And Saraswati puja, republic day, independence day are celebrated with zest. There are adequate books in the library but many of them are old syllabus books so you need to choose them wisely. Sports are also held during winter where many games like cricket,table tennis, badminton, chess,carrom and so on are played There are several clubs in the college, Eco cultural club is for the cultural activities. CSR club organizes blood donation camps,tree plantation program ls, books donation program and so on. The Phoenix club deals with technology. There is a sports club and a NCC club as well.
Admission
I did apply to otger colleges like FIEM,HIT,MSIT but according to rank wise got placed in the IT department of NSEC. For getting admitted in this college you need to have a good rank in WBJEE or JEE MAINS. Also if you have done diploma you can join the college in 2nd year after passing GLET exam.
Faculty
All the faculties of IT department are easy to approach. There are almost 15 teachers in the department. As the college is under MAKAUT university, there are total 8 end semester examinations which includes theory and practical. Theory paper is of 70 marks and practical paper is of 60 marks. Along with that there are 4 continuous assessments for each paper in each semester of 25 marks and two practical continuous assessments for 40 marks for each practical paper. The course curriculum is not so relevant in the first year as it will have basic engineering subjects like physics chemistry mathematics. From second year onwards, you will get into the core subjects.
Night Life
There is a small gym which mainly remains closed. The canteen is small and the taste of food is average. Library is vast and there are adequate books to help you with your curriculum. There is also a reading room,one may sit and read silently. There is no hostel of college but you will get several PGs, also there are flats which can be rented. College starts from 10 am and ends at 5.30pm. There are no such hangout places inside the college. Outside the college you may go to various places via metro or train. Yes,the locality is safe to roam around at night.
