Beyond Books - not just a campus, but a learning experience

I have been highly interested in finance, marketing and accounting and when CUET 2023 happened i was happy with the results obtaining AIR and 99 percentile which further boosted my confidence to pursue BCom hons. This course provides me the indepth aspect of the business world in every way possible and It equips me with analytical and problem-solving skills, real-world case studies, internships, and industry exposure. The course also enhances my decision-making abilities and prepares me for careers in corporate, entrepreneurship, and finance sectors. Since covid the semester has shorten down to 4 months which was of 6 months initially Mid semester exams happens after 2 months from the beginning of semester and the finals in the very last months whereas practical exams starts 2 or 3 weeks before.

For my course bcom hons. fee is ranged between 36000 to 40000 for the very first year after that it declines year on year. I paid 36,500 in first year and 32,500 in 2nd year. Examination fee is also charged per semester before the exams depends upon the category of students it can be differentiated. If someone has opt for any practical subject thej will be charged extra. Generally practical subjects exam fees ate higher than a theoretical subjects. And coming to the scholarship, there are numerous scholarship available provided by NGOs and DU itself. Various scholarship are available including Delhi University scholarship Non JRF fellowship scholarship - 2% National scholarship portal NSP the very famous one- covers 1% Dr. VK RV endowment book grant for 1st year students of any course.

Manjari the annual fest of daulat ram college the most vibrant and exciting one which occurs around March-April when other colleges fest take momentum everything looks super pretty and cool as the whole campus comes to life in a party mood, dance, songs, food and what not. Range of books are diverse but it can be better if other topic books are also included and not just the subjects related. Technology is not that good projectors do not work in many classrooms sometimes AC too but lab is so advance projectors, big screen PCs and lightening so good. Sports are promoted in my college, students have gone to national level too, gym equipments, trainee everything is provided. Many many and many number of socities are there which fits best of the person's interests in a single department i would say 3 to 4 Societies have been running and a single student union the biggest the society.

As i got admission through CUET on the basis of my marks i got admission in Daulat Ram College, not my dream college tho, However i have realized it was never about the college but how well i prepare myself still the goodwill of the college on your resume can either get you inside the room or kick you out in no minute. I applied to several other colleges DRC was on number 8th and i got it in very first allocation released. I went for the upgradation in upper colleges but the seats were already full but i don't regret. To get the admission you have to crack the CUET first and achieve great marks if you want to get into top colleges of delhi university which are in north campus. SRCC Hindu Hansraj Kirorimal Ramjas Daulat Ram Stephens Miranda house Khalsa college These are the list of colleges in the north campus Student have to give accountancy/maths, economics, english to be eligible for bcom hons. Score above 720 is safe. My overall experience was not that good so many glitches and lenghty process, time consuming and unnecessary delays.

The faculty to student ratio is great 1 on 40 students. Teachers of my college are incredibly supportive, they do not only lecture us but understand the issues faced by the students they guide us beautifully and they are easily approachable. As i have noticed my teachers won't move ahead if i have even a slightest doubt. Geeta chauhan one of the best teachers i found who helped me a lot in understanding the concepts and Miss Gurmeet mam teacher of business mathematics she is so polite and generous that if we have doubt even after classes or need a on the call help or anytime meet session she would never ever refuse. In one semester 14 exams are there excluding practical. Nobody failed even once in my class exams are good better is such that you can identify the pattern. And, the curriculum i believe is relevant except the additional subjects like AEC and VAC i don't find these useful anyhow.

As I am a day scholar, i have never get to experience the night life in campus. Many facilities, cafes and restaurants open till midnight but as DRC is a girls college students are not allowed to go outside after 8:00 PM.
