Likes

Classrooms and the ambience of classrooms is very good 👍. Recently apple also visited our collage for final year students in the placement

Dislikes

Collage labs are very worse . Minimum amenities are not there and girls to boys ratio is also worst 👎 i guess its somewhere around 1:5
Some faculty are bad 👎 and outdated . Not upto the mark.
Fests and events are very bad. No sufficient budget is spent on them

Course Curriculum Overview

Especially for our year our curriculum is really outdated . We have irrelevant subjects in our course and am really disappointed in this aspect but for junior students its changed. Happy for them. There course is good

Internships Opportunities

In the current year internship drive only few companies visted us for internship. Somewhere around 10 companies came and somewhere around they took 80 members . And most of roles offered by them are SDE roles only Microsoft, bny, pwc, reliance, accenture, quicksell etc... Companies came for internship Web development projects and projects of AI ML are good for internship preparation. And a good knowledge of DSA is necessary for it

Placement Experience

From 7 th semester students are eligible for placements Google ,microsoft, BNY, Samsung, oracle, Infosys, pwc, hdfc, tcs, icici, axis and many more MNCs visit our campus in placement drive Previous year we got 500 above offers from small and big companies Highest is 50 lpa and average is 10 lpa overall 70 percentage of students get placements My plans is to join any company after degree But after corona the placement offers are very less as compared to before corona this might be issue in every collage

Fees and Financial Aid

For sc ,st - 16300 For ews, obc (if income less than 1 lakh) - 16300 For ews, obc (if income between 1 lakh and 5 lakhs) - 37134 For oc, obc (if income greater than 5 lakhs) - 78800 The fees is optimal only according to my opinion

Campus Life

Arohan - techincal fest (odd sem- oct) Recstacy - cultural fest (even sem -feb) Library is good environment to study and there are enough no of books Facilities in classroom are appreciative Sports and extracurricular activities are better Clubs and societies in our collage are active and are conducting regular events

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are worst. No proper rooms, fans, beds at all The hostel buildings are very old and no remuneration is done, no proper drinking water no proper food in mess . Taste wise and health wise food is worst ???????? . No hygiene in cooking Registration for hostel is decent and affordable In locality no proper pgs are there

Admission

I applied for Nit jalandhar and Nit Raipur. I got both Of them and in my counselling preference i kept nit durgapur top of them so i got into this. I choose this collage based on Nirf ranking I didn't got rejections from any where The admission process for my collage for btech program is through JEE mains Cutoff is above 90 percentile Overall admission process is good ????

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio is good. Its somewhere around 1:15 Some faculty members are very good in our department and some people are very outdated. I personally like bibash sen sir , debashish nandi sir, subrata nandi sir and sanjib sadhu sir For semester we have one midsem and one endsem Exams are moderate. Most questions come from pyqs . Some professors do correction strictly. 30 percent students get supplies in exams Course curriculum is little outdated but for Juniors its changed

Night Life

Night life is not that much good . No night canteens are present in our college. Gyms, cafeteria, library closes at 9 pm Our hostel closing times are not there but campus off time is 10 pm Famous hangout places include jhoops, nescafe, dfc, roy Our collage is safe to roam around at night

Supportive Faculty - The professors are highly qualified, approachable and always willing to help students
Free wifi support - There are free wifi support for both student and faculty
Fee Structure - It is very affordable and low compared to other colleges in the region

Dislikes

Placement support is below average, and most studnets have to apply for off campus jobs independently, which is really pathetic in the era of ai where getting a job as a fresher is so difficult
There is no dedicated support or placment cell initiative to help studnets land meaningful summer internships or any kind of internships

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

Likes

The faculty are well taught and the campus is very beautiful . The buildings are like newly bulid . and the campus is very clean.
In our branch the boys and girls ratio is almost 16:11.
The senior behave like a friend and they help us a lot and they also very supportive.

Dislikes

The college campus is too small compare to other colleges.
The college classes are not regularly held and the attendance system is not very good.
The classes are very boing and sometime it feels like aa school and the labs are not held timely.

Placement Experience:

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Likes

Ragging free campus. Strict action are taken against those who found guilty.
Classrooms are well equipped and are spacious.
There are many fun events that happen in the college

Dislikes

The campus area is too small. The library is not good
The societies are fully controlled by students so huge partiality goes on.
Some of the teachers are mean and are not good.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

The College Life in Burdwan

Likes

The campus is big and full of greenery with the vibrant feel of nature.
The students of the same batch are friendly and helpful.
The teacher's are friendly and helpful. They do provide helpful recommendations for the betterment of your future.

Dislikes

The seniors are overly harsh when it comes to 1st year.
The infrastructure could be worked on. The college lacks renovation.
The hostel does require everyday cleaning and renovation as well as the campus.

Placement Experience:

I don't know much about this but I guess from the sixth semester the students are eligible for campus placements. This year a student from AEIE got a package of 11.2 lacs per annum and the average is around 4 lacs per annum.

Experienced Faculty-students often appreciate a good blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.Faculty members in some department are often known for thier excelence knowledge and experience
Excelent Campus-techno india university has a large campus with excelent facilities such as libraries,labs,seminar halls etc. Some students finds this facilitries useful
Funs and Events-techno india university provides a vibrant campus life with events that span a wide range of interests

Dislikes

Time Management-the one thing that I disliked was their time management.They dont provide a proper shedule for exams,routines etc
Teaching Methods-some students feels that cirtain teaching methods(like a focus on lecture without without interactive learning or industry exposure) must be improved
Placement-techno india university does prepares thier students for placement they only give them the opportunity

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Likes

The faculties are very good and very active. They are always ready to help
Campus is very beautiful and nice. Campus may be a little bit smaller but it is beautiful.
Environment is very good. And have a natural's beauty

Location is a thing which may difficult to find out.
Number of faculties are small quantity due to the college is newly established
Because of the college is new so therefore not huge like any NIT or IIT

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There many service based companies visited like TCS ,Cognizant, wipro, Infosys. Almost 60-70% student placed in on campus. Highest package offered by TCS 9-10lpa and Cognizant 6-7lpa wipro 6-7lpa infosys 10lpa etc. 60-70% student getting placement I will go for placement

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I think this was the best college onmy rank. I prefer this college because of the ranks amongs the Nits and the best I can get according to my rank is this . This college is not so far from city Center . NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

I applied for GURU GHASIDAS UNIVERSITY, BILASPUR (a GFTI in chattishgarh) and i got an secured seat in the CSE department too of that college too in my 2nd round of JOSAA councelling but in the CSAB round 1 i got a seat in NIT Durgapur in the Biotechnology department. I was a NEET aspirant but due to scam of NEET 2024 i was unable to get a good rank and secure a good government medical college and i was passionate about biology from my childhood so i chose Biotechnology and obviously an NIT is far more better than any GFTI be it in terms of placement, infrastructure, environment or any other things. I applied for some higher prioritized brances too in my choice filling but due to poor rank i wasn't able to secure a seat there. Students get seats in NIT(s), IIIT(s) and in GFTI (s) through JOSAA (a counselling process of 5 rounds) and CSAB (a counselling process of 2 rounds) and in IIT (s) through JOSAA counselling only. Students secure their desired seats based on their merits with the rank that they obtained in their JEE Mains exams and JEE ADVANCED (for IIT ) although admission is based on ranks but the authority have criterias like you have to score 75% marks in maths ,physics and chemistry in your Boards exams or you should be among top 20 percentile students of your class 12th board exams there is a separate process of admission too for the foreign students and NRI students althogh the fees structure is very high for their courses.The overall counselling process was good and seamless but after allotment of the college, the document verification and fees submission process is a little hectic....Read More
