What Students Say

Likes

Infrastructure is good. University is built in 47.8 acres.
Classes and labs are well equipped and fully air conditioned.
Transport facility is also available for day scholars.

Dislikes

Its not safe to roam around outside the campus during night.
University is at a secluded area and far from GT road.
Less cafe and restaurants as compared to the foot fall.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is easy and well revised , it gives you full knowledge of the basics . It gives you all the knowledge you require to start excelling in particular subject . However , it doesn't prepare you fo rthe real world application , it can be improved if the curriculum focuses more on practical aspects than theoriticals

Internships Opportunities

internship opportunities are not much available but it also depends on the student if they can grab the opportunities. Comapnis like microsoft azure, IBM, etc provides internships with average stipend of Rs. 10,000.

Placement Experience

Placements start from 6th semester. Students without backlogs are eligible for placements however students with backlogs are required to clear backlogs till 7th semester to become eligible for placments. Companies that visit are LAVA, AIRTEL, IBM, etc. Average package is 7.5 lpa and highest for year 2024 was 32.5 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Current fees for B. Tech is Rs. 3,00,000 per year currently. Caution fees is Rs. 10,000 (one time and refundable), Registration fees is Rs. 15,000, Development fees is Rs. 10,000 yearly and library and sports charges are Rs. 6000 yearly. Scholarship is available based on the scholarship test or 12th class percentage.

Campus Life

PRISMA - annual cultural fest happens every year in the month of march. VERGE - annual technical fest happens along with PRISMA. Labs are well equipped with latest PCs. Sports events called SAMAVESH are held in the month of october. Clubs are there for Dance, music, art, drama, literary, gaming, photography and coding clubs.

Admission

Admission process is through admission cum scholarship test. you can also get scholarship based on the test results and score. After the test, to freeze your seat you have to pay Rs. 15000 registeration fees and after that for admission atleast 25% tuition fees should be paid along with other mandatory fees.

Faculty

Faculties are well experienced and professional. They are well educated with mostly from IITs and NITs. Most faculties are approachable. there are 2 internal examination and 1 external examination. difficulty is medium to hard.

Night Life

Gym are available in the hostel. There are 3 cafe in the whole campus. night life inside the campus is good but its not safe to roam around outside the campus at night. Hostel closes at 10pm. Murthal is 20 mins away from the campus.

Good Campus, Good Learning and Overall Experience

Likes

Good campus with a lot of greenery and a peaceful environment for students.
Teachers are mostly supportive and actical classes are helpful for understanding the subjects.
Good labs, library and sports facilities with many activities happening on campus.

Dislikes

Some administrative work takes more time than expected and can be a little confusing.
Hostel and mess facilities can be improved, especially in terms of food variety and quality
Sometimes the workload and attendance requirements feel a little stressful for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the course curriculum is quite relevant and covers the important basics of Biotechnology. We get both theory and practical classes which helps in understanding the subjects better. Exams are usually moderate. I think more industry based projects and practical exposure can make the course even better. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

The University provides when you opportunity for learning activities and over all development

Placements are available for final year and June and students generally become eligible from the 7th semester companies from it software and management sectors visit the campus placements opportunity at Decent with package wearing according to company and student scale I plan to build a strong technical skills so internship and projects and aim for a good job in aml field after graduation

My Experience in JC Bose University

Likes

I like the claim and composed environment, no one shouting or making noise
Each buliding have lift which help reach higher floor easily
Having strong alumni association which help student get placement

Dislikes

I don't like the paper work delay during the admission after paperwork
Campus less crowded places are not maintained very well
Older buliding classes don't have ac in the classroom

In Electrical course we have many kind have course which design for solving various kind of problem in field , BSC ( Basic science course ) , ESC ( Engineering Science Course ) , DSC ( Disciplinary specialized Course ) , VAC ( Value Added Course ). Professors teaches with real life example and use 3D shape and animation to explain things easily.

Likes

The college is spread across 300 acres of lush green campus with a lot of greenery everywhere. The weather is also very pleasant
The infrastructure of the college is well maintained with proper department and parks . The labs are well equipped with the necessary equipment required for the practical knowledge of the student.
Sports facilities are also top notch in the college and also gym is provided in the sports ground.

Dislikes

In rainy season water stands in the hostels making it difficult to move in and out of the hostel.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate of the college is decent one with average package of about 12-14 LPA amd about 85% students are placed every year. Students can apply for placements after 2nd year and companies like JP Morgan , microsoft, Hero , ICICI Bank , etc. Visit the college

Genuine and Biased review

Likes

Wifi facility is available in hostels and in some classrooms
Teachers are quite good and they are very helpful

Dislikes

Placement are not good in dcrust one some some students get placed with maximum packed of 9 lakhs minimum 2.5 lakhs
Course curriculum is not updated they are not helpful in modern time.
Girls and boys ratio are not upto the mark.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Placement at college is average mostly 80% of students are placed in this college student is eligible for placement from the 7th semester. Companies like Airtel, Infosys, Wipro, and swiggy, mostly company visit here highest package in 2023 is approx. 28 LPA and the average package is 5-6 LPA.

Best affordable quality college for middle-class

Likes

Good and well-spaced campus of the college.
Good placements with high salary packages at reputed companies.
Good, affordable college for engineering, suitable for middle-class students.

Dislikes

Poor WiFi connection at times, when too many people use WiFi at the same time.
Generator works till 11pm only at normal days.
Hostel food needs improvement, lack of quality chefs.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.

Don't join the college as they doesn't care about your career Faculty is bad and also doesn't have minimum experience and qualifications Teachers will change every semester or even teachers can leave the job in mid semester. If want a good career then don't go for it

Not Perfect, But a Worth Campus It for the Right Student

The admission process at SRM Sonepat was smooth and simple. I applied online through the official website. You can get in either through the SRMJEEE entrance exam or through direct admission based on your 12th marks. SRMJEEE is the most preferred way, and students who score well often get good scholarships too (from 10% to 100% tuition fee waiver). I took direct admission since I didn’t take SRMJEEE. The eligibility was 50% or more in Class 12 with PCM subjects. Overall, I found the admission experience quite stress-free. I applied for PIET and geeta university also other than SRM, in PIET I was having difficulty for daily transportation and also they don't allow bunks or getting out of college before college time, also there scholarship scheme was not that much good, where as in geeta university it was still under development of there labs and other facilities and also the campus was not that large, it also carried the problem of transportation, as my older brother is also a passout from SRM University, it was easy for me to get transportation facilities from my door, and also I cleared scholarship exam that gave me 50% scholarship and now our university is the only university with NAAC A+ credit. Also the admission department was nice than PIET. For scholarship criteria there are several options like 10th and 12th grades , JEE score , JEEE ( college based entrance exam) which are good way of getting scholarship. the JEEE cutoffs are based on marks in early stages, and later based on ranks as it is conducted 5-7 times during the admission time....Read More
