Course Curriculum Overview
I was always interested in finance that' why I choose bcom hons. Although in my college the faculty of Bcom hons and political science hons were the best. They were very high degree professionals and very interactive. They were always interested in teachers new things and also makes sure that students are also taking interest in that.
Internships Opportunities
There were lots of internship opportunities available in the college. I personally didn't opt for any internship as I was doing my extra studies for a different course. But my friends did participated in internship programme. They got so many internship opportunities. There were generally from 3-6 months and the stipend was decent.
Placement Experience
Our college is not so much into placements. But Delhi University do provide placement opportunities. There were many kinds of companies who comes to visit and makes a lots of offers to the students. Campus placements generally starts in the final year of the college. Placement mainly depends on the students how well they perform in front of them, how confident they are in communications, on that basis they are selected by the company and package is also derived on that basis. Generally 2-3% students get campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was pursuing Bcom hons. The year wise fees was 15000. Fees were different for each courses. Also you have to pay examination fee seperately in each semester. Examination fee mainly depends on number of subjects. My examination fee generally derived from 700-1200/- Talking about the scholarship programme, when I was in the college they were not providing any scholarship schemes.
Campus Life
If I talk about my overall experience then my college life was definitely a blast. From the starting we were welcomed by organising a nice freshers. Everyone was very welcoming. There were annual fests organised by the college committees and there were different societies in the college who generally organises a lots of events in every months. We celebrated each and every festival with great enthusiasm. Our college provided all the facilities of labs, computer, library. Even we get english and hindi newspapers daily to read. There were journals and reading books available in the library. Library was big enough for the students. We got two canteens in the college and the food was nice also the rates were decent. It was not very expensive. Also we got one juice shop and Maggie shop in the college itself. There were lots of greenery and the environment was very nice. Staff members were very amazing. We had a great bonding with each and every faculty over there. Sports committee was also very nice. There were sports room in which all the indoor sports wete available. We had basketball court in the ground. And also cricket, badminton, volleyball all types of sports were available in the campus. We got so many medals and prizes kn the sports. Also our college keep organising small sports or extra curricular activities to keep students engaged.
Admission
I have applied in various colleges before settling it into this. I do find that the admission criteria was easy in this college rather than others. Other colleges were taking lots of entrance exams. In my college first we have to give CUET exam and on the basis of that score cut off lists are declared by delhi University and the cut offs are different for each category we have to choose college accordingly.
Faculty
The avery faculty to students ratio mainly derived from 70:1. The faculties were very approachable, they were veryy friendly and always supportive. We all were having very nice relationships with each and every teacher over there. Everyone was always interested in interacting with us to know our likes and dislikes. I specially like Anchal mam our business studies teacher. She was veryy kind and super generous to everyone. She has a lot of knowledge and know how to deliver that knowledge. There were 6 semesters and exams were held in the ending of every semesters. Exams were not so veryy difficult. If a student studies decently he/she can score really well. Also our teachers were always presented for help.
Night Life
Our college was situated in a very decent place. There were 3 college in that area. There was also club lane known as satya niketan. There were lots of cafes, bars, lounges available for the hangouts. There was also a fun adventurous spot nearby our college for the mountain climbers known as mountain engineering. Hostel facilities were not available but there were PGs available for the students coming from far places. It was a safe place to hangout either in the day or in the night.
