Course Curriculum Overview

4

Curriculum is correctly focussed towards the goal, well designed and changing in a year or two, to align with the demands in the world. redundant courses are removed and new courses introduced. i chose this because i dont want any branch below mechanical area of improvement includes the incorporation of Electives in each semester, allowing studebts to c hooses few courses of their choice. Frequency of exams: Quiz1 -> MSE -> Quiz2 -> ESE the most general trend followed in any IIT. number of quizzes can be increased or decreased or it. can be one per week too.

Internships Opportunities

4

Ya companies do visit our campus for internship opportunities for SDE, Core and Non-core roles. Major companies that visit the companies are for SDE role followed by Core companies and very few for Non Core role Companies visiting for SDE Role: Google, Amazon, BNY Mellon, Flipkart, De Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Quadeye, Databricks, etc. Stipend for SDE Role Varied from 40K/month to 5L/month Companies for Core Role: NVIDIA, Texas Instruments, Analog Devices, JLR, C-Dot, Intel, Siemens, etc Stipend for Core Role varied from 40K/month to 1L/month Companies for Non Core Role: ICICI Around 50K/month. Intership process is determined by the Training and Placement Office. Students are permitted for Off-Campus Opportunities.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are decent enough, almont 98% of the studnents get their job. many students also opt for higher studies or competitive exams like UPSC We are eligible for placements in 7th Sem A lot of companies above 100 visits and recruits from IIT INDORE Some includes Google, Amazon, BNY Mellon, Quadeye, Flipkart, Razorpay, De Shaw, General Electrics, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA, JLR, BHEL, IOCL, BPCL, etc. HIghest package offered is around 1 Cr. Average pakages is around 20-22 LPA I am planning for job after the degree

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees Structures is like 1L for tution fees and remaining 30-40k(tentative) is for otherfacilities like Hostel, Mess, Food, Gymkhana, Liabrary, etc. the Hostel and Mess fees makes the most part of the remaining fees around 28k. the above us fir general category, for GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL it is 2/3rd remission of tuition fees for SC/ST tution fees of 1L is waived off there are a lot of scholarship for category, economically weaker and women or girls scholarship like NSP. Merit Cum Need do not exist in IIT Indore.

Campus Life

4

Overall campus life is great a lot of clubs are there like GDSC, Cynaptics, Dance, Music, Robotics, CAE, CFA which helps you develop and enggage yourself in domains of your chioce infrastructure is good byt still developing Annual Fest - FLUXUS typically held in January Liabrary has a lot of collection of books, everybook related to courses, general knowledge, news, reasoning, history, etc . availble in the building Campus is well equipped with sport facilities, even few indoor games area available in the hostel itself, like TT table, Foosball, Carrom Board, etc. Social and Students groups like Avana, Wildlife, etc are there for social works and welfare.

Hostel Facilities

4

As mentioned Hostels are equally good, all the essential amenities are provided in the hostel room wew have a flat absed system where 6 individuals are alloted a flat with 6 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets and 1 kitchen therefore each individual enjoys their own personal room Meal is good enough but as a menu is followed therefore one gets bored with time Registration process is much smother as it is predefined by JoSAA itself. not much formalities are there. if you are alloted a seat in JoSAA Counselling Rounds then you will get it confirmed by visiting the campus and showing the listed and associated documents, hostels are mandatory and pre-allocated, therefore no hustles.

Admission

its an IIT so i chose it over NITs, IIITs, etc. i applied to top IITs also but could not get because of my rank constraints. as i cleared JEE Advanced therefore i was not rejected rather i was not alloted that because of availablibity of higher rank students. Eligibility - Ongoing 12th atleast Exam - JEE Advanced Cutoff - around 15-20% scoring 33% really get you into IITs.

Faculty

4

faculty to student ratio is also ample its 4:1, most of the times faculties are available for student concerns, doubts, etc. they are supporting in nature. I like one faculty who teaches power elecrtronics, really great prof. the efforts he makes to let B.Tech fellows learn things properly. exams are quite challenging depending upon the faculties and also their moods. most of the time one can solve the most part of the paper provided he studied, but no worries as relative grading hides that all.

Night Life

4

Nighlife is equally good in our campus Food faciliities also available in the campus for late night upto 4am like Night Canteen for Main Course Meals, Cafeterias for Fried Foods, etc. Gym facilities also availbale in the campus free of cost, any time from morning 6am to nnight 10 pm Locality is safe to roam around at night except for sometimes when wild creatures from the forest enter the campus Hostel timings are chill infact, especially for third years onwards. for till second years, they allow upto 11pm only Campus entry late night is also allowed but if you do this activity again and again then you will get warning letter for 3 times followed by Strike Letter

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
