What Students Say

Likes

Campus area is around 100 acres with all basic facilities available inside the campus.
Learning facilities are excellent here with everlasting opportunities for the students.
Course curriculum is good for my course with endless opportunities.

Dislikes

Only dislike is quality of infrastructure with us improving every year but at slow pace.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum for biomedical engineering opens a wide range of opportunities for both research and jobs. It makes students industry ready gives them real life exposure how things actually work. There are endless opportunities in this field, although there are fewer opportunities in India for in foreign countries it is an expanding field.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My yearly fee structure is around 60k. Fee for complete course is around 250k excluding miscellaneous fees. Semester fees decreases slightly every year , students are required to pay as per their parental income. Reliance foundation scholarship, NSP etc are some of the scholarships available.

Campus Life

My overall experience till now is good here. Only dislike is poor infrastructure here, campus offers all kinds of sports and extracurricular activities, there are various clubs that run in the college like sports, music, drama, finance etc . Some major fests that held every year are Aavartan ( Techfest ), Eclectika ( Cultural Fest ), Samar ( Sports Fest ) .

Admission

I chose NIT Raipur because of curriculum and location. Admissions are through JEE Mains examination. Students are admitted into the desired courses after they secure specific ranks, cutoff changes every year and it is different for General, OBC and other categories.

Faculty

Faculty members here at NIT Raipur are excellent, all are PhD holders from some of the top universities of the world. Faculty to student ratio is 1:72. Engineering graphics faculty is the one I liked the most. There are 2 exams every year with moderate difficulty. Course curriculum is relevant and make students industry ready for opens research opportunities.

Night Life

Nightlife is average here because of strict regulations inside campus with hostels closing at 10 pm for boys and 8:30 pm for girls. There are Gym and cafeteria facilities available but they don't operate at night. Locality is completely safe at night.
