Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course is more practical than theory. During the classes we are taught about real world problems and solutions and not just bookish knowledge. We study about managmenet and customer relations in detail. Every other domain subject is specialising in a particular field and its interesting to learn about new fields that we arent totally aware of.

Internships Opportunities

3

Internships like Metvy, global investors firm, etc are floated on unofficial groups. I am not aware of official internships offered by college since i am in 1st year and internships are offered starting from second year.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are offered in my college from top companies such as accenture, godrej, etc. Placements range from 6-9 lpa on average. Highest package is around 12 lacs but i am not sure. My plans after this degree are doing masters from a good university or working for 2 years.

Fees and Financial Aid

since it is delhi university, i find my college and course affordable. I have paid a fees of around ?36,000 which is very low compared to private colleges. Since my college does not have SC and ST reservations, the fees remains same for everyone.

Campus Life

5

We have montage fest in feb-march. Our linrary include all good books relating to all courses available in our college. We have classrooms with projector boards as well. Sports faculty is really good there are practices held almost every morning for football, badminton, basketball, hockey, etc. Our college has the most societies- 29-30 societies for every interest one can possibly have. They all are very active.

Admission

I applied to delhi univeristy and IP university. I got into maharaja agrasen institute of management studies which a really good rated college of IPU. However, getting into JMC was my dream. It is a beautiful maintained south campus college. Its also all girls so we have a really safe and happy environment. Its also not very far from my home so up and down is easy for me.

Faculty

4

My college conducts continuous assessment tests and assignments so we stay in touch with our syllabus and end term exams are not so difficult. The faculty is kind and helpful. But sometimes classes get cancelled end moment which can be a little frustrating.

Interview Experience

3

Only cuet basis admission was there i joined coaching for the same... there was no group discussion or anything. Cuet exam was touch but i scored enough to get into south campus college which im satisfied with.

Night Life

3

Our college is located at the best area of new delhi- Lutyens delhi Chanakyapuri. The area is totally safe with lots of police around all time. Nearest and the most famous hangout spot is satya niketan where all PGs are located

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 4th or 5th semester. Deloitte , Bain & company, PWC ,EY, Grant Thornton (for consulting services) offer the highest package to roles like analyst and accountant. Other companies such as ICICI Bank, Kotak securities , Inshorts , Urban company,HUL, Wipro,ITC hotels , Appollo Hospital etc. the highest package recorded in 2024 was 23.05 LPA and average package as 6 LPA . 85-90% of the eligible students get the placement, the data might vary as some students opt for 4th year for their research work. My plans after getting the degree lie in marketing or consulting field.

College of Vocational Studies - [CVS], Bachelor of Vocational Studies [B.Voc.] (Human Resource Management)
Reviewed on Aug 16, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm pursuing Human resource management and as I have mentioned before CVS is the only college providing vocational courses. The reason I chose this course is it is skill based and also i wanted to have a career in HR field. The comprehensiveness and understanding of this subject is quite good, it covers topic that one studies in his or her MBA. Their are areas that need to be improved like practical applicability of the subjects that we are taught, the college should take initiatives to let students use the learnings in a real world scenario by providing them internships or by taking them to corporate visits. The exams are conducted semester wise and their difficultly level is moderate. The exam timings for vocational courses is 2:30-5:30 p.m

Placement Experience:

The placements are very good, Placement cell regularly organizes placement drives, and companies like ktmg, amazon, TCS are invited for the drive. A large population of students sitting for the placement drive get placed with a good package. Students can sit for internships in the second year. The highest package made in my course was 7 lakh per annum. About 93% percent of the students get placed.
