Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is very relevant to the course I'm studying in. Also, the shift from CBCS to NEP has make the curriculum include practical application alongside building only theoretical knowledge. Moreover, the choice to select additional subjects from a wide range of subjects from various disciplines, provides a holistic and interesting approach. Exams occur twice a year with medium level of difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

5

Hansraj College has an internship cell responsible to bring internships for the whole college. They provide weekly internship opportunities to all the students in various domains such as finance, consulting, graphic design, marketing, content creation, etc. Moreover, it also attracts companies like D.E. Shaw and Bain for the summer internship opportunities providing a stipend of as high as INR 60000.

Placement Experience

4

College provides placement opportunities, mainly for Economics and Commerce Graduates. The median package revolve around INR 1200000 while the highest package can reach around INR 2500000. Consulting and accounting firms like Bain, EY, Deloitte are the most common recruiters. Students are eligible to apply for placement in their final year only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for my course is INR 28435. Fees for other courses too revolves around INR 30000 only. Apart from that, there are some scholarship opportunities provided to students to fund their education, For ex. In Hansraj, Dell Aspire Scholars is a scholarship initiative focusing on helping students financially by providing monetary assistance to fund their education and housing costs.

Campus Life

2

My overall experience with campus life has been somewhat mixed. Though , the college has its annual fest and many clubs and societies to provide professional exposure, the college administration has remained mostly strict and sometimes does not let students conduct events on their own. This is probably one of the aspect where my college lacks behind. The strictness of the administration just ruins the events and annual fest overall.

Admission

Initially, I had applied to Christ University, Bangalore and I got in. However, I chose Hansraj over Christ University due to better exposure and placement opportunities my college provides. Also, Hansraj College provides more flexibility to students to pursue professional courses alongside regular studies. Admission process for UG courses is done through common allocation of Delhi University. You first need to register for Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and upon the result of the entrance, the application process would begin.

Faculty

5

Faculty to student ratio is well maintained. Sometimes, we even get 2 teachers for the same subject. All the faculty members are considerate and approachable and always willing to help us to resolve our problems. The course structure is uniform across the university and Hansraj follows it accordingly. I am pursuing B.com Hons and the curriculum is most relevant to my course. About the exam system, exams occur twice a year (End sems) while internals occur throughout the semester as per the needs of students, providing us flexibility. So, instead of Mid-semester exams, we have internals scheduled by subject teachers after duly considering our request.

Night Life

5

Nightlife around college campus is pretty great. Hansraj is next to Kamla Nagar market which is a great place to have fun. The roads are filled with students all the time making it safe for us to roam around at night.

Other Applied Colleges

Christ University | Bachelor of Business Administration [BBA]

I found the placement avenues is Hansraj much better than Christ University.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.
