What Students Say

Likes

College has Personality development cell, which is very usefull in developing personality.
The college has SIGs which are focused on teaching a new technology every semester.
College has an annual fest Dazzle, surely worth the fee and enjoying.

Dislikes

Attendance criteria, college has 75% attendance criteria, managing attendance becomes really hactic.
Very strict schedule, you cannot leave campus before the closing time.
Exam are very late and delayed, didn't like the exams scheduling of university.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course contains more theoretical part than practical. We have exams semester wise twice a year and 2 Mid Sem Test in each semester. Exams are not that difficult, moderate difficulty. Course is very comprehensive but can be more practical than theories.

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 72000 per year

Placement Experience

The placement experience at IIST is highly rewarding. Renowned recruiters such as Amazon and Cisco have offered attractive packages to deserving students. The institute provides free and comprehensive placement training, including aptitude preparation, mock interviews, resume building, and soft skills development. Strong industry connections ensure that students are well-prepared to compete for challenging job roles.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am a obc student and I'm currently in paying a fee amount around 72000 rupees. I am paying it semester wise in 2 installments. And around 1830 rupees every semester for exam forms. Fee structure in our college is based on both 12th percentage and jee percentile, clearly the person who has given jee and has good percentile gets fee deduction.

Campus Life

Overall a satisfactory experience in college. The semester starts with engineerss day on 15 Sept involving many learning and sports activities. Then we have many competition organised by college clubs and institution. We have an annual fest Dazzle involving culture activity, dance and show organised of famous singers. In the fest time many sports activities are undergoing in college, we have garba at college. College has around 20 clubs organising different activities at different times. Popular ones are Lexicon, Anjaneya and sports club.

Admission

I have visited many colleges in our locality and choose IIST, because of the affordability, where the other colleges were demanding hefty amounts and not giving the core branches, this college gave me CSE and with a much lower fee than other colleges. College has very good sports and academic facilities. I got the college by MPDTE counselling.

Faculty

The faculties are very good, they are very friendly and all ears to solve the problems of students, very helpful. Faculties like Pankaj Wadhwani sir taking the SIGs, Ashish Singh sir, Rahul sir and all the other facilities are very helpful indeed.

Interview Experience

No, i have not faced any group discussion, interview or written test for Institute only. But i have given JEE examination for getting college. group discussion, interview are required in college when i were participating in any event. and to become a member of any club in college I had to give interview

Night Life

IIST offers a safe and well regulated campus environment during evenings. Hostels here are secure and proper monitored, allowing students to collaborate, interact and unwind the late night study sessions, group discussions and hostel interaction foster the overall development of students in college.

Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
