It definitely gonna be infrastructure and greenery it should not be janaki Devi it should be Hara bhra Devi
Jdmc have everything a student needs I guess and it is getting better day by day

Dislikes

College should give more attention to the societies of college
It didn't gave a fashion society every college should have one o believe for students to explore more things not only study

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I believe if we talk about the real world I don't know how much to prepares. I think it can get better to gain students interest more in the particular course for students to talk intiative and be in the course from their soul and heart

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 20000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

My college did have so many internships.coming we used to get the information on WhatsApp group of different kind of opportunities and internships in the janki Devi memorial college Delhi University..

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not employed yet and I don't really know how this course is gonna help me in future in terms of job assistance will I be able to get a job based on my course don't think so the only outcome seems to be a teacher which I don't want to but maybe I can be translater

Campus Life

We used to have my collage society fest mundi then our annual college fest symphony we used to have Diwali Mela our fest used be amazing the only thing I think what needs improvement is involvement of others college student in fest so that our college can be known more . JDMC has the best infrastructure I said what I said khas the best library it feels like staying there forever the art there is so beautiful oljdmc is clean and green jdmc even have a recording room what I think needs is a closed auditorium or theatre it is a necessity for the theater students and much nkre things . society's are definitely best part of a college I believe If we take admission anywhere we should consider checkin their society first because that is what shape the personality one thing I was not aware of the scholarships we get during annual year it should be more known for students

Admission

My admission was based on cut-off I got admission in the third cut off list my admission was pretty smooth I didn't have any kind of difficulty during my admission I don't find nay areas to improve in terms of admission process

Faculty

My department teachers was very nice and comforting some of them were egoistic also not gonna lie but I liek the way of their teaching but some teachers were not very cooperative of time we used to spend on society's. But they never talked rudely with any student they were respectful and approachable.

A Day at College

Likes

Affordable fee structure that makes higher education accessible to students from different financial backgrounds.
Flexible learning system, allowing students to manage their studies alongside other responsibilities.
Opportunity to pursue a degree from delhi university through open and distance learning.

Dislikes

Limited opportunities for regular classroom interaction and face to face engagement with teachers and fellow students.
Students pursuing distance learning may need to rely more on self-study and independent preparation
More regular communication, student support, and interactive academic activities would improve the overall learning experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English Honours curriculum at DU SOL is relevant and provides a strong foundation in literature and language. The course covers diverse topics that support academic learning and critical thinking. The flexible structure is suitable for distance-learning students. Adding more practical activities, updated study materials, and interactive learning opportunities could further improve the overall course experience.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Eligibility was based on marks, my college was very good. I chose this college myself, it was a girls college and I wanted regular and at that time I did not have much knowledge nor any guide.I didn't get any rejections from any college. Had I known at that time, I would have applied to better colleges like Hansraj Hindu College. The admission process was quite easy....Read More

A students perspective on jdmc

I choose Janki Devi Memorial College mainly because it is a Delhi University College and has a good academic environment. I had applied to a few other DU colleges as well but the cutoffs is some of first slightly higher so, I could not get my preferred course there. When I got admission in Janki Devi Memorial College, I found that the faculty, infrastructure and overall environment is good, so I decided to continue here instead of waiting for further rounds. In comparison to other college I considerd JDMC has a disciplined environment, supported teachers and regular academic activities. The crowd is decent and the college focuses well or academics along with society and extra curricular activities which also influenced my decision. The admission process was conducted through Delhi University procedure. Eligibility depends on completing class 12th and qualifying through the entrance process used by DU. After the after the results and cut off education list are released, students confirmed their seats by submitting documents and paying the fees online. Overall admission process is what all the competition and cut off can be high with me getting into top colleges difficult. To be a good decision for me because Academic environment is comfortable....Read More

Life a Janki

Admission process was through CUET UG exam. The selection was done through CSAS portal based on our preference list and marks in CUET exam. Compared to other colleges, Janki is pretty quiet and isolated from other du colleges, which is good for safety. It is evolving each year and for an off campus college it's amazing. I got in with 617 normalised score for B.A Program in 2023....Read More
