Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am pursuing B.E. Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at DMI College of Engineering. I belong to the SC category. My yearly other compulsory fees are around ₹10,000. The transport fee is now being increased by an additional ₹4,000, making it approximately ₹40,750. Thus, the yearly non-tuition expenses are around ₹46,750 currently and may increase to ₹50,750 after the fee hike. I receive a scholarship of ₹50,000 towards tuition fees. The scholarship provides significant financial support and reduces the overall burden of education. Overall, the fee structure is moderate, but the increase in transport fees adds an additional financial burden for students.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is enjoyable, with a friendly social environment and opportunities to participate in annual and technical festivals, clubs, sports, and extracurricular activities. The library has a useful collection of books and journals, while classrooms provide basic digital and technological facilities. Student clubs and events help improve teamwork, communication, and overall college life.

Admission

I chose this college because of its course quality, affordable fees, faculty, campus environment, and career opportunities compared with other options. The admission process was straightforward, based on eligibility and merit/entrance exam scores, and the overall experience was smooth.

Faculty

4

The college has supportive faculty, a friendly campus atmosphere, and a good curriculum. However, practical exposure, placement opportunities, industry interaction, and some infrastructure facilities could be improved.

Night Life

4

Nightlife around campus is generally calm, with students spending evenings at the cafeteria, gym, library, or common areas before they close. Hostels usually have fixed entry timings, while campus access is restricted at night. Students often hang out at nearby cafés and food spots. The locality is generally safe, but students prefer staying in groups at night.

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.
