College has a lot of positive. Curriculum, faculty and extra curricular activities are amazing. Infrastructure is not upto date but it’s a heritage site and it’s one of the best architectural structure.
Course Curriculum Overview
Wilson college has one of the best curriculum. They cover the subjects systematically. They go in-depth into the subject. Exams happen twice a year. Semester 1 and 2. Main exam is for 80 marks and 20 is the internal assessment.
Placement Experience
Few departments have good placements and there are a lot of internship opportunities and there are people who got placed in decent places. More than internship, this college offers a lot of exposure which helps.
College Events
All the Departments have their own fest. College fest is called Ole. The department of Management have their fest which is called Adore. It’s done on a large scale. Department of Arts have their fest called Festival of Peace.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is affordable. The fees for the Arts Department is ?4500 a year. Yes, you heard it right. And for other departments have also fees that’s feasible and is not very expensive for the quality of education.
Fees and Financial Aid
There might be scholarships available but I’m not aware of it. There are different departments and multiple organisations and they might be offering scholarships but I personally don’t know. You contact the college for more details regarding this.
Campus Life
The college has a lot of extra curricular activities. It’s filled with activities from Nature Club, Boxing Club, Gymkhana, NSS, Rotoract, all sports and there’s a vision centre who works with the visually challenged students and it’s a blessing to the college.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is the only negative thing in the college. The major boys hostel is a great place if you have good friends. But the hostel management is one of the most incompetent management. But the hostel created a lot of memories.
Alumni/Alumna
Wilson has a good alumni programme. There are many departments and they all personally have their own alumni systems and they keep in touch with their graduates. They keep having reunions when people come.
Admission
Went on the admissions day and got in merit. The person in the counter asked few questions and then they publish merit lists. There are 3 lists. And if you are admitted, your name would come in any one of the lists.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is what gives the college it’s glory. Specially the department of Arts have the best teachers in the world. They know their subject so well and are experts in systematic study
