Course Curriculum Overview

I am graduate in Geography Hons. course. In UG there will be 6 semester. each semester have specific subject. there will be some unit test and practical exam and at the end of the semester there will be major examination.

Placement Experience

Yes, college provide internship but placement are done only in some specific courses. In Geography Hons. there will be a remote sensing and GIS paper have a opportunity for you.Many companies want good telents in GIS

list as below- Geo-fest Cultural event E-sport There will be a telent search event but in my final year not organized. Each department organized there subject related event like geo fest, zoo-bot, chemis etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee structure is feasible. for each programme you have to pay around 10000? if you choose geography hons. there will be 4 papers per semester. each paper have 200? paper fee. prectical paper have 250?

Well scholarship will be given to you by central govt or state govt. college only give in the second year of your college. if you belong from OBC/SC/ST/PWD category then you can get fee relaxation.

Well the auditorium is very good sports ground and staff is also good, you can grab sports items from them. each department have there practical labs library is also available for the students.

Hostel Facilities

There are no hostel facility available. You have to find rent room near college. Your Senior or college staff can help you. rent for single room is around 2000? to 3000? depend upon room location.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Admission

Depends upon your 12th class percentage. Please check the university of delhi website during the admission process.In UG courses there is no entrance exam (some courses have) 1-delhi university cut off list 2-go to specific college 3-submit required documents and fees 4- admission process complete

well the faculty is good but not all are perfect so please mentally be prepared. there are around 6 associate professors and some ad- hoc teachers.Teachers are good in human geography and prectical subject

Likes

Personally I like my college's environment. It's so friendly and cooperative.
It's an all girls college so it's so comfortable as it is away from male gaze.
I highly do recommend this college for study and personal growth.

Dislikes

I somewhat dislike it's canteen. The food is not as good as our expectations.
The prices in canteen is very high with low quality food.
I dislike the thing that a few professors favour some fix students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Yeah the curriculum here is so strong, it's student friendly and ability enhancement. The courses offer here are relevant and can be applicable in our day to day lives. It gives us insight into ourselves.

My college was a girl's college. There are maximum 60students in a class. Prints were quite cheap in the college cafe.
There were many fest functions in my college. I also participated in the dance fest in my first year. We also used to go on picnics from college.
India's chief guest at the annual function was M Venkaiah Naidu.

Dislikes

College fees were very high for general category people.
The behavior of many teachers was quite rude and arrogant as if they were teaching us for free.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to do PhD in Political Science but due to percentage I took up BA program. Teachers used to provide notes but mostly I used to be off. There was nothing wrong with the college. Exam timings were good.

Infrastructure of the college is very up-to-date.
College crowd is very active and diverse, giving opportunity to learn and explore.
Teachers are very well educated and friendly towards the students.

Dislikes

Sports facilities at the college need to be improved.
Few teachers methods of teaching are traditional and outdated.
There is strict criteria for attendance, to maintain 66.7 percent

Placement Experience:

Final your students are eligible for the campus placement. Companies visited are HDFC Bank, Zomato, Swiggy, mahindra,EY, Deloitte and others. Highest package was around 30 lacs per annum and the average package is around 4 lakhs. Job profiles were mostly business analyst, research and development, PR and others. I will prepare for civil services examinations after clearing my graduation.

Our placement services is efficient and effective which always comes up with quality companies in terms of employment and package.
We have solid infrastructure which includes medical rooms, basketball ground, main ground, fest ground etc.
Our faculties expert in their teaching of respective subject where the teaching method is technology based and mentorship quality is demand based

Dislikes

Our course curriculum is relevant but sometimes it lacks little practical learning.

Placement Experience:

Student set in the placement from 5th semester where where is companies visited college for the campus placement such as KPMG, Zomato Deloitte, etc and number of offers made were not explicitly disclosed by the college and highest package was 25 lakhs and average package was 4 lakhs and profile offered were finance, marketing, etc around 70% students placed from my college and my plans after the graduation is to pursue PHD.

Moments of happiness

Likes

I liked the ration of girls and boys it's almost same .
The teaching method of teachers and the library.
College infrastructure and various opportunities and sports ground .

Dislikes

Events in college are usually too short like till 5 pm only .
Classes starts at 8:40 in winters atleast it should start by 10 .

Placement Experience:

English hons is not a course in which placement is that widespread as far as I'm aware . But our college provides placements for other courses like b.com etc and we have placement cell which keeps updating us on internship or placement opportunities and overall package is quite good .

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Likes

The teaching faculty is really nice and polite. They usually help students even when u contact them after college hours.
The engagements and the quality of the social interactions in this college is also very good and very uplifting.
The quality of the infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in du, considering its very new.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the thought of learning about the literature of the older times was pretty exciting to me while I was choosing the course. The curriculum however does prepares you if you want to continue ur academic journey in the English field.

Ramjas the heaven on earth

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.

i dont like any thing in this college

during the addmission time i dont have that much knowlage which i have know this is the first college i have alloted in 3rd list and i was scared that i dont want to miss that too thats why i choose this college other then that if i have any other option to cahnge my college i will definetly changed that i have to travel 2 hours for the college if i want to attend the 8:30 class i have to take the first metro from the neartest metro station and evry day 4 hours travel was hactek when i reach home i just went to sleep i dont have energy for take 10 mins for my food that was my bad i was not awear about the frizeing systerm and i was afred that my be i dont get admission in other college thats why i just take the first apportunity and just leand with it the admiddion process is very confusing i asks many people abaout that then i did what every i can i waas very sad after i got to know the things becous 3 years is a big time and evry day i ahve to weast my 4 hours in traveling that why i tred form migration but from my college migration was not allowed and i have to score 80% for maigratiob...Read More
