Remarks

Hansraj college is one of the best college in the country for pursuing graduation. You will get everything you want from a college. Best studies, best placements, best faculties, best extra curricular activities and all other things you need.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum has been ammended in the recent years to include Choice Based Credit system (CBCS) whereby a CGPA is given and students can choose subjects of their choice each semester inluding compulsory subjects each semester. The syllabus is in line with the current industry requirements.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of the college provides both placements as well as internships. The highest package for placement went as high as 31LPA and average package being 6 LPA. Also, the internship cell organises internship feet every year wherein various companies participate and provide internships to students, some of them offering an average stipend of ?5000 per month.

College Events

The college has many events going around throughout the year. Various college societies organise their fests each year , organising interesting inter college competitions and then their is Annual cultural festival of college - Confluence, which is a 4 day festival which ends with a star performing and concluding the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is very genuine and affordable. B.Com(H) fee is just around ?16000 per annum. Also,the college offers scholarships to needy and deserving students who can't afford to pay the college fee.

Fees and Financial Aid

I know of scholarships offered by college wherein they offer full year fee scholarship to the students in need who can not afford the college fee. The process is very simple- a student applies for the scholarship attaching a statement of purpose along with the family income certificate. Next, an interview is held after which scholarships are awarded to selected students.

Campus Life

The college has infrastructure for every extra curricular activities that one can think of. Be it sports or music or dance. The college even has a gym. Also, the college boasts of a vast ground used for various games like cricket football etc.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni and senior students are very helpful whenever anyone need any help. They help you in consulting and can even refer you for the placement in the company they work. The college has a seperate alumni union which conducts annual alumni meets.

Admission

The admission to DU is based on best of four percentage calculated on the basis of 12th class marks. Various cut off lists are declared by each College on the basis of which admission is given to students.

Faculty is experienced and friendly. Their teaching methodology is amazing and they are very friendly. They support you to pursue further professional courses and help you whenever you need any help.

Likes

The faculty members are supportive, knowledeable. Teacher explain concepts clearly and encourage student to participate in discussion
I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

I would rate the course curriculum around 4 out of 5. The curriculum is well structured and covers important subject related to commerce, accounting, finance, economics and business. I chose this course because is provides a strong foundationfor higher studies, competetives exam and careers in the cmmerce field

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

Dislikes

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

Likes

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

We have good infrastructure in our college
We have good sport faculty and facilities

Mismanagement during finding class room during exam
Sec,vec, classes are not conducted properly
Some teachers are also not good during attendance issue

The perfect campus

The teachers are very friendly and they don't discriminate

The course relevance I will rated as 9 out of 10 because I still find I need to explore more but overall all they have been very reachable.. its for students welfare and it increases the productivity.

Likes

Faculties are best. They teaches you and create never ending bond with you.
Infrastructure is good but the area is small , the greenery is amazing and flowers are sooo sweetest.

Dislikes

No hygiene in canteen. Avoid eating from canteen.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is highly relevant notably the focus on real world applications and Advanced Financial reporting. It prepared me well for professional life. Improvement is needed in digital tool exposure.

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

Dislikes

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.

The Honest Opinion about Hansraj College

The whole undergraduate admission process of DU is through CUET, except a few exceptions like Law and Enginnering. The Electronics course require Physics, Chemistry and Maths from CUET, 250 marks each and one must obtain 500+/750 to get this course. Reservation benefits are also available. This was my third preference in the preference list after B.Tech (IT&MI) at CIC and CS Hons at Hansraj, which I could not get due to cutoff difference....Read More

Talks with reality

Hansraj college is one of the best colleges under University of Delhi. I have applied for almost every college which offered my course but my dream college was Hansraj for always. In the first round of counselling session, I got ramjas which was my 5th preference according to my list but I upgraded for the second round and then I got hansraj, my dream college. I chose this because the very first reason was its infrastructure, its academic excellence and our most loved shakrukh khan who also studied from here. I didn't get rejected from any college for my course but the other courses for that I have applied for, maths honours, I didn't get the seat in top colleges due to my low score for that course. CUET is the only and most preferred exam according to which admission is allocated to every individual. Cutoffs depends for every other courses and for the admission, the very first step is you must need to appear in CUET exam with proper subject combination according to ur preferred course. Then after result declaration, you need to prepare preference list of your preferred courses and colleges then according to your score, college is allocated to you then you have to accept the seat allocation and need to make the fee payment.
