Campus life at YMCAUST is quite vibrant mainly due to a number of student clubs present where each student may choose a club that meets his/her interests. Clubs for debates, dramatics, singing, western dance, punjabi (bhangra) dance, management clubs, chemistry clubs, computer club, electronics club, mechanical club, art and crafts club, photography club make the atmosphere quite good. The gender ratio in engineering would be 10:4 for Men: Women. This campus is not fancy as other universities. The student needs to be self-motivated and focussed to his/her own development. There is some events year around but chances are that they are not as good. Students can always look for better events in other universities.

The gender ratio was good and I have never faced any discrimination on my part. Girls and boys are equally free to work in their labs at any time, even during night. Campus is very beautiful, lush with greenery, so it makes a good scene. The main canteen is very popular for its cuisines. There are also grocery shops, parlour, ATM etc inside the campus. The campus is located outside the main city of Allahabad. College bus goes out every day free of cost for hostel students. Sports facilities are available inside the campus. There are sporting events, robotics competition, cultural event, debates and elocution competitions etc.

As far as I know, almost all BTech students were placed. Even many MTech students were placed, although a lot of MTech students go for PhD and hence do not sit in placements. Companies include Google, Flipkart, Amazon, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, etc. Almost all major companies come. There are days when 3-4 companies would come on a single day. Package would differ from company to company and may range from 4 lpa to 15 lpa, as far as I know.

When I was shortlisted the cutoff of the college of business management by the given entrance exam, I gave some aptitude and Personal interview to take admission in this college. College celebrates so many festivals but i like Udbhav festival. In this fest the development of any country is based on its entrepreneurs. Udbhav creates the context for the expression of an entrepreneur in the students. As these young entrepreneurs contest in collaboration with NEN and TIE, they gain hands on experience in various functional areas.
