The year 2015, which also happens to be my 4th and final year with the ASU, has proved to be fantastic for me. First, SJMC chose me to jointly present and produce a radio documentary on the theme of Sexual Assaults with the students of USA’s Nicholson School of Journalism and Mass Communication (UCF), Orlando, as a part of Student Exchange Programme. Secondly, I guess, as a reward for my work, I was sent on a month-long internship with the British Broadcasting Corporation in New Delhi.

At ASU, we have designed a unique curriculum to render a scientific computing approach so that students can gain an understanding mainly through the analysis of mathematical models implemented on computers. Only a handful of faculties were very good and had sound knowledge.Many faculties were not much knowledgable in subject. Research orientation was not much there. Subject knowledge was not through needed for learning the subject and executing projects. No major support from faculty for projects.

Before my batch the placements were not pushed by college. For our batch, we had new placement office, who was active and brought in more that 4 companies for placements. Companies which visited which i can remember were Infosys, Sasken, Sonanta, MGL. Approx 50-60 students were placed.

Exams take place in our class rooms where the environment is chill. With students to different batches mixed together, there is less scope for cheating and a few teachers, mainly two are present to keep a check on the students. Labs may become a bit hectic because the labs are not much spacious but will they are big.

Anugoonj is our main festival which takes place for three days in mid February. Even withing our main campus fests of respective colleges takes place. We have our sports meet annually which provides a large number of activities to be participated in. Singing, dancing, drama, poetry, sports, etc are practised here.

Faculty is good as far as knowledge is concerned ( Recruited by UPSC ) but some of them are rude. Iam in first year so do not know much about other things but i academically college is food, faculty is good and knowledgeable, Some teachers will nor seem to be willing to teacher but most of them are good and will be interested in teaching.

Fees is very less . Its about 35k per year which is very less as compared to other IPU colleges. You wont find any other college in IPU with such low fees and accommodation facility is available in near by area. So fees is feasible. After including caution money fees is around Rs 40000 per year.

Placement committee was very well organised. they provided training in communication and aptitude test solving which helped students during their interviews. Over 50-60 IT well known companies visited college for recruiting. Almost all of the students from CS/IT had a offer with them when they graduated. Companies generally offered packages in range of 3-4LPA.

Very few of the faculty members had 10+ years of experience and masters degree. None had phd that time. I think all profs were simultaneously doing ME and 1-2 profs received their PHDs. Although The faculty members were not very experienced and knowledgeable, they were very helpful. The university syllabus focuses less on practical knowledge.

The college offers modern classrooms for teaching learning synergy .The huge, bright well ventilated lecture halls provide a congenial environment for the students to concentrate and fulill their tasks as per to the requirements. There are about 30 lecture halls. The lecture halls for MBA are well equipped with projectors and speakers for appropriate students activities.

the duration of the course is two years. it has four semesters in it. its a very unique course and very effective. as Indian customer is getting more aware of the financial products and their features and is not as naive as it used to be few years back. Financial planners would have to become more proficient and add more value to stay in the business. Average Financial Planners with superficial knowledge would not be able to survive in this scenario.

i want to be a Financial advisory. its services are a big business. The course can imparts all the relevant knowledge & certifications required to successfully manage an Investment boutique, after requisite experience. The campus environment plays a substantial role in inculcating entrepreneurial skills and provide the relevant knowledge base amongst students.

National Testing Service- India is a mega scheme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. NTS aims to cater to the evaluation requirements of the country for academic auditing and quality maintenance.
