Faculty

The college employs highly qualified and experienced educators, with more than 75 faculty members holding PhDs, especially among senior teaching staff . Exams are not too hard UG (3 years): B.A., B.Com (incl. Computer Applications, Tax), B.Sc. combinations like Biochemistry–Botany–Chemistry, Botany–Geography–Zoology, Chemistry–Mathematics–Physics, and more . PG (2 years): M.A. in subjects like Economics, English, Hindi, Geography, etc.; M.Com; M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Botany, Home Science specializations .

Placement Experience

No Regular Campus Placement – Why? The college mainly offers traditional degree programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce, where structured campus recruitment is less common. Most students opt for postgraduate studies, B.Ed, research, or prepare for government jobs (e.g., UPSC, MPPSC, UGC-NET). Lack of dedicated placement cell or industry tie-ups also limits organized recruitment activity.

Placement Experience

From Semester 2 students become eligible for campus placements. As the strength of the students are less, companies don't visit our college but we have number of opportunities and offers provided by our college. We get links of internships and job offers through link in the college group and we visit those places for interviews, we have complete support from the faculty and management to do our best in the interview. Highest package is 4.2 L per annum. 80 percent students get placed in the companies and I also plan to get a job in one of the reputated companies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview

Practical knowledge and skills has influenced me to take this course to apply and survive in the real-world. It prepares us well for the real-world applications and further academic pursuits. It should be updated according to the new trends and need to focus more on quality than quantity. Should give time for the students to observe the knowledge as it takes time for understanding and implementing. The difficulty level of the exam is manageable but it would be better if they make it easy for all the students considering individuals capability to attempt all the questions.

I just passed my first year exams and now from august my second year will be starting, the tution fees for first year was 1,30,000-1, 32,000 and 8000 was extra expenses like security amount and books the second year fees is less than first year , i believe it's between 1,15,000-1,20,000, there is SC/ST, management quota, i got my admission through ipu by giving the CET so i was not charged any extra registration fees other then the GGSIUP website

Campus Life

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of their syllabus like two programming is taught in first year and data structures too. And the reason I didn't choose btech because there were is physics, chemistry, etc which I think are time wasting because I didn't get that what is the use of it in software, IT fields. So I believe that BCA is more worth than btech.

Placement Experience

As I am in first year and I hadn't any paid Internship. I got the digital internship but at last I didn't get certificate but College tries to give skills and knowledge how to grab the internship and placement from outside if they didn't get placed in campus or arenot satisfied with college placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am from 2022 - 2026 batch my fees is total 4,51,500. Aditional 5000 was for college dress and bagpack. Per semester Examination fees is 1200. Rest no any additional cost is taken by college. As per my knowledge every year for freshers fees is incread by around 30,000 - 40,000(Approx). For students who have West Bengal Domicile are eligible for SVCM scholarship of 60,000 per year provided by WB government. THe scholarship is revoked if the student gets a single backlog.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is mostly theory based. You have to learn from other resources to cope up yourself for placements. The subjects which you will study will be mostly theory and of easy level. You need to constantly be aware of latest technologies and learn by yourself. There are four mid terms(CA1, CA2, CA3, CA4) exam taken and a final semester exam and two mid term practical exams(PCA1, PCA2) and a final practical exam for each sem.

Faculty

The faculty in Narula Institute of technology are all well qualified. But it does not imply that they are good teachers. There are many faculties in the college who literally don't care about their students, they just come with their notebooks, read some topics from their notes and leave the class. Some teacher just come to fill the chalk board and explain nothing. However there are also some faculty members who try their best to explain each and every topic to their students. The faculty members i liked the most are Anirban sir (IT), Debopriya Dey ma'am (Maths), Dibyendu sir (Maths), Sourav Dwari sir (Phy), Sourav Mukherjee (Chem), Prosenjit sir (IT Lab) and Amit Rakshit sir (ME lab). There are a few more but i dont remember their names. If any of these become your teacher, just know that they will always help you and they are all very chill. There are some teachers who have a bad reputation for being overly strict. Some of them are Nidhi ma'am (Registrat), Shambu Nath sir (Dean), DKT sir (Phy), RJR ma'aa (HU), NLS sir (Maths), KKK sir (Phy lab). These teachers are not approachable at all (except registrar and dean, cause you will have to approach them in case of emergency and they will try to help you). They are very strict and put way too much pressure on the students. If you get any of these teachers, just quitely attend their classes and go home, dont ask them too many questions or argue with them cause they might take it to their ego influence your internal marks. I would say its around 1:50 considering that its the average class size. The student intake is much more than the faculty intake. The college conducts 2-3 slot test per semester and one final exam at the end of each semeter. The slot papers are of 20-30 marks and contain questions from the portion that has been taught in class until that point. End sem is of 80 marks and is based on PYQs and teachers suggestions. Checking is usually easy and lenient. Its easy to score a good CGPA here due to autonomy

Campus Life

Narula is a college where you will find a mix of good and bad things, just like every other college in WB. I think one of the best parts here is the two main annual fests we have every year. There is a tech fest called Kritanj which happens in March and a cultural fest called Novoday which is in May. Both these fests usually go on for two days. Kritanj is all about technical stuff like coding competitions, robotics events, quizzes, workshops and a lot of other things where engineering students get to show off their skills. I have seen students working for nights without sleep just to finish their projects for this fest. You can feel a different energy on campus when Kritanj is happening. Even people who don’t really like coding end up participating just for the fun of it or to support their friends. Then we have Novoday, which is the cultural fest. This one is more chill and fun. Students dance, sing, do drama, fashion shows, and so many creative things. Everyone dresses up nicely, there are food stalls, music everywhere, and people roaming around with their friends all day. It almost feels like a fair. Even some shy students get on stage and perform, which is really nice to see. You get to see a different side of your friends and classmates. Overall, both fests are a big highlight of college life and you wait for them every year. Apart from these fests, the college also has a pretty good library. There are a lot of books on all subjects and it is very easy to borrow books. You don’t have to run around or fill too many forms. You just go, pick the book you want, and get it issued. The staff is also helpful and won’t give you attitude like in some other colleges. If you want to study peacefully, the library is the best place because it’s quiet and no one disturbs you. Sometimes when you get tired of hostel noise or the crowded canteen, you can just go to the library and sit for hours. Many students spend time there before exam

Faculty

The college offers a traditional full-time 3?year LL.B. program with around 320 seats and 6 semesters . Though exact ratio data isn’t published, it's roughly around 1:25–1:30, based on faculty strength and intake. According to student discussions, attendance is flexible, making professors approachable and accommodating—especially for working learners . Faculty Members Here are some key faculty (from official listing) : Prof. Anurag Aher – Assistant Professor (likely teaching drafts, pleading, conveyance). Shrikant Oza, Laxman Bedekar, Shashi U. Jha, P. Sureshchandra, Sanjay I. Waghulde, Prof. Jadhav, Prof. Dilip Jain, Prof. Rahul Pawar, Prof. Sunil Valmiki, Prof. Sanjay Waghare, Prof. Sri Vilas, Dr. Devidas Shinde.prof. falak naaz madam Well?liked Faculty ???? Though there's no detailed public opinion on each faculty, students appreciate the flexibility and real-world teaching styles. Evening shifts help working students attend exams and assignments without stress . Challenging Dynamics There’s no widespread criticism of specific staff, but as with all colleges, teaching styles vary. Some students prefer more interactive or exam-focused professors.

Fees and Financial Aid

7000 yearly fees for 3 years LLB course affiliated to University of Mumbai. It is government aided college. Good environment for education.Good faculties . Non teaching staff also is very good.Very cooperative staff in each and every manner. All Professors are very well educated and having waste teaching experience So it's good for me to learn and grab the knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

The early fees (that I paid for my course BA honors ) = 16,450 rs. in which, tution fees = 180 rs. college welfare fund = 2,030rs. other miscellaneous charges = 14,240 rs. the registration fees for cuet 2024, for variours groups were (for upto 3 subjects )- general = 1000rs obc- ncl/ews = 900rs sc/st/pwbd/third gender = 800rs. for candidates outside india, the fees is 4500rs. for upto 3 subjects and 1800 for each additional subject. perks of the college : The faculty is excellent in this college. The classes never usually gets cancelled unlike most of the colleges. Every season their is a new opportunties fairs or extra circulum activities going on. Each month is like a festival in knc. The environment outside is college is also very cozy ,calm and safe for every student unlike noth campus , security is good and helping, metro facility is nearby in around 2kms range, on campus drives is suppoted here, intership opportunities is also given to students every month. If someone is willing to persue something other than graduation , and needs time and energy to explore other ways, then this college is definitely for you. It will provide you with peaceful learning environment with no chaos and a good circle or a helpful environment + faculty. There is also not much chaos for maintaing the attendence if you are good student and knowns how to show up the faculty will surely help you with this. usually there is a bond which we get when our attendence is bellow 60%, and then u will be asked fr reason of being absent with proffs and then you will shorted. you just need to maintain a good cgpa to show up ! cons : you might not get an environment to explore much as this is a girls college, and also you are going to miss the fun that a co-ed college provides.

Faculty

faculty to student ratio is appox - 45:1, the faculty of the college is very approachable in the campus and when its nessesary they also proive their contact info. ( probably whatsapp, gmail) so that you can ask any doubt when they are not availabe, they are very helpful, rather few exceptions also exist. some faculty might not be that helpful or easy to approach for you. In my department faculty like dr.Gaggan jot maam , dr. Geetesh maam , and saba maam are very helpful and approachble . I Personally like to read with them. they are very interesting personalities which makes my subject more interesting to read. I personally did'nt like only one teacher, will not be reveiling her name, she teaches logic, and she is quite arrogant and very difficult to approach, you need to be in her good books to score in her subject as she might easly fail you .she usually targets students who are not regular in her class and also might not give you attenence if you are 10mins late also, she is a very strict teacher and all of us has to be according to her in the class premise. the total of 6 semesters are there (3years) , each year 2 papers has to be given. philosophy is a suject of logic , reasoning, and critical thinking and you might feel hanging in the inital semester since it requires a present mind and a lot of practice to score good initally. we really need to improve out writing skills, speed and patters as you will have to write minimunm 6 slides for each question which is of 18 marks.
