Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, popularly known as IIT Hyderabad, was established in the year 2008. The institute offers B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Des, M.Des, M.Sc, PhD and M.Phil program to the students.
IIT Hyderabad Admissions are based on the marks secured by the aspirants in the following entrance tests- JEE Advanced for B.Tech, GATE for MTech, JAM for M.Sc, CEED for B.Des & M.Des. and for PhD program, applicants have to clear an interview round and written test conducted by the institute.

IIT Hyderabad offers UG programs such as B.Tech in various specializations along with B.design. Admission to B.Tech. program is offered on the basis of score of JEE Advanced. To secure admission in B.Des, students have to score good marks in CEED conducted by IIT Bombay.
The admission to the IIT Hyderabad M Tech program is based on the candidate’s score in GATE. Admission to the Master’s course in Design (M.Des) is based on Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED). Candidates who wish to pursue the M.Sc should have a valid score in IIT JAM.
The admissions to llT Hyderabad PhD and MPhil courses are based on the interview conducted by the institute. Only the eligible applicants are called for an Interview round.

The placements at IIT Hyderabad for the academic year 2016–2017 have yielded 264 offers. 385 students registered for the placements last year. A total of 210+ companies have registered for the placement process. Out of them, 117+ have made it to the campus and interacted with the students. There were seventeen international offers.
