Some of my friends have the most creative hostel rooms at IIIT Hyderabad. Their rooms are architecturally the same as any other hostel rooms, however, their creativity has transformed them into beautiful spaces.

My best friend has one of the most attractive and well-maintained hostel rooms in IIIT Hyderabad. She has decorated her entrance with a paper hanging. The pink colored heart shapes have a golden center and hang from a nail above the entrance door. On the door itself, a paper slip with small paper flowers on its borders, contains her name. The wall above her study table is decorated with posters of wild animals and small notes that she has scribbled on colored papers with sketch pens. She has made a beautiful sketch containing all the main characters from a popular television sitcom. Just above her window, she has put up a black coloured sticker of birds sitting on a tree branch.

One of my juniors has put up posters containing memes on the walls of her room. Her room completely defines her energetic and quirky personality. Her room is very unique and reminds of the good old childhood days. Another of my friends likes to paste maps around her room so that she can use each moment of her time productively.

IIIT Hyderabad hostels are considered decent with all the basic amenities one could ask for. Here are a few pros and cons of these hostels

Pros

The best part about these hostels is the ‘no curfew’ rule allowing you to come and go as your will.
The hostels are newer than that of old IITs and NITs so obviously are better designed and furnished.
IIIT Hyderabad does not have a huge campus like IITs so the distance between the campus and hostels is less saving both time and money for the students.
The mess is located inside the hostel and serves decent food.

Cons

The hostel administration is quite careless and does not pay heed to the students' complaints. But this citation is somewhat similar in all colleges these days.
The roofs of the hostel buildings are locked. Then again, this is a safety precaution.

IIIT Hyderabad hostel rooms are like that of any typical hostel. They can easily house two students but sometimes are too cramped. The hostel rooms also have a cupboard which will hold most of your belongings. The beds are also of average size.

Usually, BTech students are allotted single occupancy rooms in the first 2 years after which they are shifted to their single rooms.
