Jamia Hamdard University was established in 1989 with Deemed to be status. It offers various UG, PG, Diploma, PG Diploma and M.Phil & Ph.D. courses in its 9 schools in the field of Engineering, Management, and Medical Science, Nursing, Pharmacy, Science, Arts and Unani. Application form for all the courses can be filled online by visiting the Online Admission Portal of Jamia Hamdard University.

  • JEE Main qualified candidates are eligible to apply for B.Tech course.
  • Admission to BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com is based on the marks in 10+2 and an Interview conducted by the university.
  • Candidates have to qualify in NEET UG to secure admission in MBBS course.
  • Admission to B.Sc (Medical), BOT, BPT, B.Sc (Nursing), BUMS and B.Pharm courses is also offered on the basis of NEET UG score. Non-NEET students can also apply with respect to their marks in the qualifying examination and Interview.
  • B.Sc Medical (Lateral Entry) and B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) admissions are based on merit and an Interview round.
  • Students have to qualify in the Entrance Test and Interview conducted by Jamia Hamdard University to secure admission in PB (Nursing), Pre-Tib and Diploma in DGNM.
  • MD and MS admission is offered through NEET PG except for MD (Unani) for which the candidates have to qualify in AYUSH PGET.
  • Merit in the qualifying degree followed by an Interview is the nominal criteria to secure admission in M.Tech, MA courses.
  • For M.Tech (Food Technology) and MA (Human Rights), the university conducts its own Entrance Test.

Jamia Hamdard University offers full-time B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Com and BA courses at ug level. 50% marks in 10+2 (PCM) is the minimum eligibility criteria for B.Tech and 10+2 in any subject combination is required for BA, BBA, BCA and B.Com courses. Jamia Hamdard University offers full-time M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Pharm, MA and M.Sc courses in various specializations. Jamia Hamdard University M.Phil & Ph.D. Admission 2020

Jamia Hamdard University offers M.Phil and Ph.D. courses in different streams at Doctorate level. The minimum eligibility criteria is a Master’s degree in the relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on candidates’ performance in Written Test and Interview.

CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/ICAR or GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the Written Test. They have to appear in the Interview round only.  Foreign students have to qualify the Online test (Aptitude for related subject and English proficiency).

Jamia Hamdard Reservation Policy

50% seats in all the courses offered by Jamia Hamdard are reserved for Indian Muslims. Students must note that 50% seats are filled on the basis of open merit. Reservation details are given below:

  • One seat in each course is reserved for children of Jamia Hamdard employees.
  • For UG courses, 10% seats are reserved for PWDs, Jamia Hamdard students and the students of Hamdard Public School and Rabea Girls School.
  • Few seats in each self-financing course are filled through Management Quota.
  • SC/ST students are eligible for 5% relaxation in qualifying marks and score of Entrance Test.
  •  4% weightage is awarded to Distance Learning (DODL) students.
  • 5% seats are reserved for Physically Handicapped students.
  • Two seats under Supernumerary Quota are reserved for the candidates of J & K except for MBBS and BUMS courses.
