The B.Tech program at HPU features friendly and cooperative faculty, providing a supportive learning environment. Each semester typically includes about five exams and two lab sessions, with exams being of moderate difficulty, tailored for non-medical students. Despite this, many students face challenges in passing. Faculty members are well-qualified, offering good guidance though not exceptional. Placement opportunities vary, with strong prospects in the Computer Science and IT departments, where packages can reach up to 30 lakh INR.
Generally, off-campus placements are more accessible, but on-campus recruitment also takes place. The admission fee is Rs. 73,200, covering the initial fee and first semester, while the second semester costs Rs. 59,700. From the second year, odd semester fees are Rs. 59,700 and even semester fees are Rs. 48,160. Semester fees range between Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 60,000. HPU ward members benefit from a 50% fee concession, with additional discounts for reserved categories, including caste, Kashmiri quota, meritorious girls, and single girl children.
