- Strong faculty: vssut is reputed for its experienced faculty members who are often experts in their respective fields.
- The college also organises fest which also is a good source of enjoyment and bliss.
- Campus employment opportunities are quite good.vssut provide internship opportunities along with good support from professors also.scholarship facilities are also provided for reserved castes and for general category also who are eligible.
Dislikes
- Hostel facilities are not so good and the food is also of low quality which is very difficult to eat.
- The hostel and mess. there is corruption in the mess. the mess secretaries are given money to stop students for complaining.
- The conditions of mess and hostel have been worse and it's been degrading day by day. this could have been better.

- Campus of the college is amazing as it includes an area of 350 acres
- Fest of the college is best and various celebrities visit college in tech and cultural fest
- The faculty members of the college are good .
Dislikes
- The mess food of the hostel is moderate.
- There is an intime in hostel which is 7pm
Placement Experience:
After completion of 6 th semester, students can be eligible for placements. There are many companies visited such as Cisco, Amazon intern, tata power, TCS, Infosys, L and T, Maruti Suzuki, Deloitte, etc. The highest package is 47 lpa from Amazon (off campus) and the average package is 7 lpa. 85 percent of students are getting placed. I want to do higher studies.

- The strong and helpful alumni network that the university has to offer is the best one.
- The highly active Clubs that have joint ventures with giants like ISRO etc.
- The scenic beauty that surrounds the university are a charm that university boasts amd offers the students.
Dislikes
- The fact that the University sgill has an open campus being a premier institute.
- The weather conditions are inclined more towards the extreme side.
- The university being located in the semi urban area may seem a bit slow paced.
Placement Experience:
The placement of the university for core branches is good with the average being 7 to 7.5 lakhs. Furthermore IT companies like Amazon SDE, Infosys, TCS, and Accenture come for the IT placements. Core companies like Adani Power, Tata, Marquee, Maruti Suzuki, etc. have a healthy selection ratio.

- Campus Life is very good. It is a open-campus college. There are many tourists places you can visit like the world famous Hirakud dam.
- Infrastructure is good and the college is constantly under construction and many new infrastructure is being made.
- Faculty and placement are both good. Faculties are very cooperative.
Dislikes
- Students living in hostels have an intime at 7pm. You cannot go outside the hostel after that.
- As a first year student you have to wear formals( except civil engineering students).
- In my opinion some subjects are taught unnecessarily but the new education policy may change it.
Placement Experience:
From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college and you can see the no. Of students placed in various companies and their packages on the college website. The highest package is 47 lpa (off-campus) and 17 lpa in on-campus placement. The average placement is 7lpa. 90% of students get placed.

- Boys to girl ratio is too low for the college
- The interaction between senior and junior is not proper

Average is 6lakh and highest around 20-25lakh.

- Some Instruments and equipments used in laboratories are outdated
- Some hostel buildings are very old and need to be reinnovated
Placement Experience:
VSSUT provide an excellent placement records. The highest package for the academic year 2022-23 is 47 lakhs per annum. Along with 90 - 95% students were placed with approx 7 lakh package per annum. Various companies like Infosys, tata steel, tech Mahindra come for recruitment.

- Little bit college infrastructure need to be repaired otherwise best college in odisha
Placement Experience:
From the 6th semester onwards you get eligibility but you need to clear all the exams, don't keep backlogs otherwise you can't seat in the placement. Companies visited like TCS, Adani, Tata power, Amazon etc. In 2022, 47 lakhs was the highest package and the average is 7-8 lakhs. Almost all get placed in the placement. I want to get a good placement if not maybe opting for an MBA.

- About the location of the college, here we have the Hirakud Dam and so on.
- About the different opportunities given by clubs to the students.
- About the fest , extra curricular activities conducted in the college and so on.

- Electricity problem in the class room, etc
- If you want something you have to go to the nearest city i.e sambalpur
- From the college the railways stations is for far you have to avail a Tempu for that

From after 6 semester .a student are eligible for the campus placement.many companies visit the college for the campus placement like TATA power, Deloitte, Vendta etc etc..and also large no.of offer given to the students.
About the highes placement ,is about 48 lakhs and the average is from 7 lakhs to 8 lakhs

- The facilities are highly qualified here

- Some seniors are very helpful but some are not and the lifts in the hostels are never working
Placement Experience:
From semester 7th students can apply for placements many companies visit our college but most of them are Vedanta, Asian Paints, Infosys, Ambuja cement, Maruti, and tata and this year Amazon also came for placement.
The Highest placement this year is 48 LPA.
Most students here go for either higher studies or government jobs but still, those who apply get decent placement.

- Lab equipments are little bit old malfunction sometime
- Water purifier and bathroom are not properly hygiene

Students from 3rd year and 4th years are eligible for placement and almost 80 percent of the students are placed in tcs, Wipro, Tata Power, etc. The highest package is 47 lakh( Amazon)and 3 internship offers with one PPO.

Here is a detailed review of the Electrical Engineering Department of VSSUT Burla based on my friend experience who is an alumnus of the same
- VSSUT is among the top colleges in the state and Electrical Engineering is one of the best branches.
- The branch offers a tremendous learning scope with decent lab facilities.
- The branch has a decent number of permanent faculty.
- VSSUT placement scenario however is not that good although it’s better compared to other top colleges in the state.
- The M.Tech students are asked to supervise labs which isn’t a good practice because they are mostly fresh out of engineering colleges and lack expectations
Electrical Engineering from VSSUT is a good choice if you are interested in the field and are willing to invest extra effort in your studies.
