- My college actually make me proud cause it's one of the oldest colleges in the world.
- Our college's cultural event " Deepwoods " is the oldest college cultural event in asia.
- As it is built in 1837 , it stills give an older vibe when we enter.
Dislikes
- I hate the principal, who aims to stop all the funs of students.
- The management gets influenced by other colleges and started to stop events followed for years
- Management also interrupts in the college traditions that is been followed for more than 85 years
Placement Experience:
From 5 semester students start attending placements.
College also provides placement training to students from their 3 semester.
Campus placement is provided from BIG 4 companies.
Average salary is 12LPA.
Highest can be anything based on the student's skill.

- Atmosphere was too good and very peaceful
- Canteen, canteen foods are so good and also affordable
- Friendly teachers and many events will be there and you all will enjoy
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chooses BCom in my own wish. They also instruct me to do masters in my future and they also observe each students and identify them and correct them. I was week in income tax my mam teach me separately and I scored 80 marks in income tax (6th semester)

- The staff. They're supportive and understandable.
Dislikes
- The management of the college. The office staff would not help us with the scholarship stuff and make the students to suffer very badly.
Placement Experience:
The placement comes from outside as the college doesn't provide any placement facilities. Also, the placement is not guaranteed. We cannot expect a huge package as freshers in this College. The package ranges from 1.5 lpa to 2.5 lpa.

- Extra curricular activities engagement was much more. There were many things to get involved in like sports, dance groups and dramatics.
- The excellent library facility which provided a wide range of books in every possible topic.
- The excellent cafeteria as well as the provision of photocopy and cyber facilities to make things easier for students inside the campus.
Dislikes
- The history department needs much more improvement in terms of placement and scholarships.
- Inspire of the highly qualified teachers, the history department needs a lot of improvement in terms of academic activities.
- The hostel fees is way too much and during my college days they did not have a total breakage of the hostel fees.

Placement Experience:
The college has a very much active placement cell which starts providing placement from the last semester itself. However, in my personal opinion the placements offered for history department were very less. We were not able to meet the eligibility requirements. It was very beneficial to the science and commerce background students. There were huge companies visiting the campus but like I mentioned it was specially for other departments so I donot have any experience with the placement cell.

- I am in Rotaract club and the college focuses on many various activities
- The college has various halls and good infrastructure facility

- The college allows bike parking only to second and third year students

The students are eligible for placement in their third year's or final year.
Companies like Wipro and Accenture are always recruit our students and other various startup companies too recruit.
The students are selected based on their performance in behaviour and academic and practical knowledge. The students will get max upto 30k as freshers.

- Stella Maris College is an All girls College!
- The faculty are well experienced and open to teach flexibly
- The ambience is serene and the library has ample books in a vintage theme
Dislikes
- Ques in canteen that are never ending in our college
- We need to walk to every department to attend various classes in the first year
- Climbing stairs and being on time to classes and also the attendance is stressful as it's 85% compulsory attendance to write exams
Placement Experience:
students who are interested to start their own NGO's can register their NGO under the trusts act or any other act collect necessary funds to get registered and get their recognition, students take up PhD to excel in the field of Social Work and engage themselves in huge projects or even become professors or mentors.
The package can be 2LPA after UG degree and can be 3 to 4LPA after PG degree
My plans are to prepare for UPSC during pursuing my BSW degree and after that I would give my attempt when I become eligible

- The college management is very good and it's a great place to graduate and it has high value in the society.
- If the student has extra curricular knowledge, the. It is a great place to take it to the next level. You can upgrade your skill and it will help you in building your professional career.
- The teachers are friendly and the environment is very peaceful and you can develop many contacts with other students and it will help in your near future.
Dislikes
- Students are from varied background. So it's difficult to match your vibe.
- My course is available only for men and other courses like viscom, plant biology offer co-education.
- If we are friendly with other department mates, it will be helpful for peaceful journey.

Placement Experience:
The students are eligible from the 3rd year.
Many companies including Accenture, Ernst and Young, ICICI, Deloitte and so on.
The highest package was offer by Accenture which is 13 LPA. And the average package is 3 lakhs per annum. The person would get a minimum package of 3-4 LPA through campus placement.
In my batch of 150 students around 25+ students have placed in these companies.
I had plans of pursuing LLB.

- The buildings not having lift access for everyone
- Some rude staff who like to show their power around
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible for placements in their final year of college. They are asked for a willingness form which they need to fill in order for them to enroll in placements. They are then sent for placement training where they are trained for cracking aptitude tests, group discussions and hr interviews

- Staff for my department are great and come with super expertise and teaching skills.
- Campus life is awesome. The cultural circuit is brilliant for interested students.
- Clubs are really good for networking and campus life. Loyola students outreach might be annoying - but it’s absolutely beautiful and only Loyola college has this among all other colleges in the country.
Dislikes
- Politics in campus encouraging students to participate in dirty politics
- Infrastructure of some department common subjects.
- Jesuit fathers are very progressive- but some of them are very problematic with gender insensitivity and discrimination
Placement Experience:
Placement is there. Friends got placed. 90% of students who applied for placements from my class got in. VFXcompanies, banking and corporate companies.
I'm pursuing masters or management business administration.

- The faculty is basically friendly in all the aspects
- The environment is clean and tidy, tbh the air is so fresh inside the campus
- The college still follows the traditions or at least tries It’s best to try the traditions.
Dislikes
- The new principal is not giving importance to culturals like before.
- We had flash mobs before but now there are no flash mobs
- The college is slightly partial to Christian students
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is good and as of my department the curriculum is so nice and kinda has many practical applications, still in my point of view I guess the written exam curriculum could be more relevant to the new media, it is mostly based on history, history is good.... Tbh I love 'em still it is mostly based on history and it could be better if it also suits the modern era

The University of Madras is doing a great job as it is providing a distance degree with an affordable fee structure. If you are a working individual and do not wish to quit your job, then joining distance MBA here will be the best option.
The courses and the study materials provided are good. You need to put effort in your studies to succeed. Self study is necessary. If you desire to learn more, you could attend the classes.
After completing the exams you will receive your Provisional certificate, within 4 months you will receive the completion certificate.

The M.Sc entrance test conducted by Madras University is not very difficult and it is based on the syllabus of the qualifyng degree. The entrance test will be conducted for 100 questions (MCQs) for 2 hours. There is no negative markin system.
