University of Calcutta Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

They are good because even if there are 4 or 5 students in the class they never refuse to take class sometimes they just merge sections due to fewer students but there is one negative point that 1 subject is taught by 4 teachers and due to this we can't manage all subjects.

I chose this course because I always wanted to do something in the commerce field, especially accountancy. Faculties are highly educated most of them are ca or cs or PhD holders. Internal exams are conducted at regular intervals and are of moderate difficulty.

I opted for the course as St. Xavier's College Kolkata is a well-known college in India and its B.Com. The faculty review was good. Faculty: student ratio is about 1:85. All the faculty members have a minimum master's degree and most of them have either completed their CA or have completed their Ph.D. Xavier conducts 2 exams per semester. One of them is mid-sem and one is the final semester exam. Questions are a little difficult and business mathematics is tough to pass.

The college has a Placement cell and a Placement hall. Every year many companies come in for placements. Students from 2 nd year are eligible for campus placements. The average salary offered is around 4 lakh to 5 lahks per annum.

I landed in this course because I always had an interest in the field of finance and accounting. In our college, the faculty: student ratio is about 1:90. The professors of the college are highly qualified and have a very good teaching method irrespective of the number of students. In each semester, two examinations are held and the difficulty level is very making it hard to pass the examination.

The course was familiar with my commerce background The faculty is extremely good All the faculties are Phd in their respective subjects Exams take place in every 6 months and the difficulty level is medium

This was the course that was best suitable for my future plans. There is one teacher for every 500 students. Mostly the faculty consists of people who have side businesses or teach in other institutions as well. The term exams are quite difficult.

I choose B.Com and the faculty was amazing. The faculties were mostly caring and helpful. They helped each student as much as possible on their behalf. There were no complaints regarding the faculty's behaviors.

The course curriculum is the best here and is in line with the chartered accountancy course. The faculties here are excellent and very supportive. Even the slightest doubt is given importance and we have weekly seminars to improve public speaking.

I chose this course due to my interest in the commerce field, and especially the faculties provided by the institution. So we basically have 3 batches running for B.Com one in the morning and the other in the evening. The morning one is all boys and in the evening majority of them are girls, the student-faculty ratio being 8:2.
