Ques. What is the eligibility for Ph.D. (Forestry) Part Time at Amity University Noida?
Ans. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Forestry or any relevant subject such as Life Science, Agriculture, Botany, Environmental Sciences, Biological Sciences, or Wildlife Science from a recognised university with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. A 4-year Bachelor's degree with 75% marks in the relevant field is also eligible. SC/ST/OBC/EWS/Differently-Abled candidates get a 5% relaxation.
Ques. Can I pursue the Ph.D. (Forestry) Part Time while working in the Forest Department or an environmental agency?
Ans. Yes, the Part Time Ph.D. is specifically designed for working professionals and in-service candidates, including those employed in forest departments, environmental agencies, NGOs, and research institutions. You must submit an NOC from your employer at the time of registration/orientation, within one month of selection.
Ques. What is the minimum duration and total fee for the Ph.D. (Forestry) Part Time at Amity Noida?
Ans. The minimum duration is 3.5 years (7 semesters). The academic fee is Rs. 75,000 per semester, totalling Rs. 5,25,000 for 7 semesters. Adding the one-time registration fee of Rs. 10,000 and refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000, the total cost for the minimum duration is Rs. 5,45,000 for Indian nationals.
Ques. What research areas are covered under Ph.D. (Forestry) Part Time at Amity Noida?

Ques. Is the Amity Research Fellowship (ARF) available for Part Time PhD scholars in Forestry?
Ans. No. The ARF, which provides a stipend of Rs. 37,000 per month, is exclusively for full-time PhD scholars. Part-time scholars are not eligible for ARF. However, if you hold a valid national fellowship (UGC-NET-JRF, CSIR-JRF, etc.), you may continue to receive that stipend subject to the respective funding agency's rules.
Ques. If I have cleared UGC-NET or CSIR-NET in Life Sciences or Environmental Sciences, am I exempted from the Amity entrance test for the Part Time Forestry PhD?
Ans. Yes. Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, GATE, DST-INSPIRE, DBT-JRF, ICAR-AICE-JRF/SRF, or similar national-level exams in the relevant field are exempted from APET for both full-time and part-time programmes. They only need to appear for the FRC interview. The exemption certificate must be submitted at least two days before the scheduled PET date.
