University of Chicago Admission Process

Pre-requisite

  • Generally, all the students are required to submit the following documents:
    • Secondary School Report
    • High School Transcript
    • Self-Submitted Transcripts (for students attending U.S. high schools only)
    • two recommendations from earlier teachers
    • SAT or ACT score (optional)
    • College Official's Report and College Transcripts (for transfer students only)
    • English Language Proficiency Test Scores (international applicants only)
    • Internet-Based TOEFL: 100 or higher
    • Paper-Based TOEFL: 600 or higher
    • IELTS: overall score of 7
    • PTE: 70

Admission Process

  • All the applicants are required to create a UChicago Account
  • Applications can be made as either Coalition Application or Common Application
  • The documents can be directly uploaded to the UChicago Account, or can be faxed, or can be mailed

Scholarships, Bursaries and Financial Aids

  • Commendable students are chosen to obtain University merit scholarships on account of the excellent academic success
  • These awards range between $5,000-$10,000 and can be awarded for four years of undergraduate study
  • Four types of merit scholarships are awarded, such as;
    • University Scholarship
    • Dean’s Scholarship
    • President’s Scholarship
    • Provost’s Scholarship
  • All first-year applicants are considered for all available merit scholarships and no application is required to be made
  • Students whose parents did not obtain a degree from a recognized college or university will be awarded a $20,000 scholarship over four years
  • Eligible scholars are selected on the basis of financial need (family income under $90,000) and family circumstances
