SOIL Institute of Management Admission Process
Admission is profile-driven rather than score-driven. A valid entrance exam score is mandatory under AICTE rules, but the institute publishes no fixed percentile cutoff and applies no sectional cutoffs. Exam scores carry 35 percent weight, while the group exercise and personal interview carry 40 percent. The application fee is INR 2000. The details around SOIL Institute of Management Admission is provided below:
| Selection Parameter | Weightage |
|---|---|
| Group Exercise and Personal Interview | 40 percent |
| Entrance Exam Score | 35 percent |
| Academic Record | 15 percent |
| Extra-Curricular Achievement | 5 percent |
| Work Experience | 5 percent |
PGDM Admission
The PGDM is the flagship two-year program at the Manesar campus. Eligibility and selection work as follows.
- Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years after 10+2 from a UGC or AIU recognised university
- 50 percent aggregate for General, OBC and EWS candidates and 45 percent for SC and ST candidates
- Final-year students may apply, with the degree submitted by October 1, 2027
- Only freshers and candidates with under 36 months of work experience as on June 30, 2027 are eligible
- Valid score in CAT, XAT, GMAT, CMAT, MAT, NMAT, SNAP or ATMA
The selection stages run in sequence.
- Online application with supporting documents and recommendations
- Profile shortlisting on a holistic review of academics, work experience and achievements
- Group exercise conducted as a 90-minute Design Thinking Workshop
- Personal interview, followed by the final decision in 2 to 3 weeks
- Registration and fee payment to confirm the seat
PGPM and PGPM-HR Admission
Both one-year programs run at the Gurgaon campus and share the same selection architecture. The PGPM is positioned for working professionals, while PGPM-HR also admits freshers.
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with minimum 50 percent aggregate
- Minimum 60 percent in Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations
- PGPM requires at least 2 years of prior work experience
- Valid CAT, XAT, NMAT or GMAT score, or the SOIL Aptitude Test for candidates without one
- GEPI stage combines a group design-thinking exercise with a 45-minute personal interview
Candidates are assessed on five declared capacities across the interview stage. These are the capacity to think, to learn, to act, to relate and to communicate. The incoming cohorts are deliberately mixed, with the PGDM 2024-26 batch drawing 46 percent women from 24 states, and the PGPM-HR cohort recording 65 percent women.
On cutoffs, the institute states that no minimum score is prescribed and that no section of the entrance exam is treated as a gate. In practice a competitive CAT percentile strengthens the 35 percent exam component, but a weaker score can be offset by work experience and interview performance. PwD candidates are assessed on equal terms with accommodations provided during the selection process.
SOIL Institute of Management Placements
SOIL Institute of Management placements are run by a dedicated Career Management Services team covering all three programs. Across the latest reported cycles, 130 plus firms visited the PGDM campus and 106 companies recruited from the one-year PGPM batch. Check SOIL Institute of Management Placements below:

| PGDM | INR 24.8 LPA | INR 11.83 LPA | INR 13.48 LPA | 130 plus firms |
Consulting is the single largest recruiting sector for the PGPM batch at 35 percent, followed by IT and ITES at 23 percent and general management at 21 percent. Confirmed recruiters across cycles include Accenture, Deloitte, PwC India, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, HCL, Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Axis Bank, HSBC, Kotak Mahindra, PolicyBazaar, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp and Gartner. Around 30 percent of the PGPM recruiters and 40 percent of the PGPM-HR recruiters were first-time hirers.
The alumni network is the asset students cite most often. The institute reports 2,500 plus alumni working across 300 plus organisations on six continents, backed by a consortium of 32 founding companies that feeds mentorship and referrals. Recruiter reach is concentrated in Delhi NCR services roles, so candidates targeting investment banking or product management outside the NCR corridor should plan for off-campus effort alongside the campus process.

SOIL sits in between on cost and leads on breadth of accepted entrance exams, a design-thinking led curriculum and a 32-company founding consortium. Batch sizes at SOIL are smaller than at BIMTECH, which means closer faculty access but a narrower on-campus recruiter base.
