M.E. in CAD/CAM: Eligibility 

Candidates having completed B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering/ Production Engineering are eligible to pursue M. Tech in CAD/CAM. Aspiring candidates need to have scored a minimum aggregate score of 60% in graduation. Additionally, they are required to qualify the GATE exam for pursuing this course from any of the IITs and NITs. For admission to other engineering colleges, aspiring candidates need to clear the college- level entrance exam. 

M.E. in CAD/CAM: Admission Process

Aspiring candidates wishing to take admission to the course at any of the NITs or IITs need to score a good percentile in GATE. Merit list of candidates is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by them in GATE, and accordingly students are admitted to the course.

Admissions to the course in IITs or NITs are based on candidates’ performance in the nationally conducted GATE. Some colleges give 70% weightage to the GATE scores and 30% weightage to performance in the written test conducted by the concerned college/ university.
