AP LAWCET Application Form: Registration for the law entrance exam will begin in March 2019. Indian nationals falling on the lines of local/ non-local status can visit the official portal (sche.ap.gov.in/lawcet) to apply for the exam. Check AP LAWCET Eligibility

AP LAWCET Eligibility

Candidates need to satisfy the following criteria to be eligible for the test-

General Criteria

  • Indian citizen who is a native resident of Andhra Pradesh
  • Indian citizen and whose one or both parents were domiciles of Andhra Pradesh
  • Indian citizen and whose both or any one of the parents had studied Andhra Pradesh

For 5-year LLB Program

  • Candidates should be minimum of 17-years of age at the time of the exam.
  • There is no upper age limit stated for a candidate to apply for the program
  • Intermediate graduates or equivalent exam from any recognized state or central board with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate for General/OBC category and 40% for SC/ST category

For 3-year LLB Program

  • Minimum of 21 years of age at the time of AP LAWCET
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any discipline and from a State or Central university with 45% marks for General/ OBC category and 40% for SC/ST category
  • Final year candidates can apply for the program if they satisfy other eligibility requirements.

Pre-Requisites for Registration

Tabulated below are mandatory details with documents that need to be referred at the time of filling in AP LAWCET Online Form:

Other Details/ Documents required are as follows:

  • A valid email ID which should be active for the next 6 months from the date of AP LAWCET Registration.
  • A valid mobile number for receiving official information via SMS.
  • Valid Debit card/Credit card in case the mode of payment is online.
  • Scanned images of documents, passport-size photograph and signature of the applicant. 

How to Fill AP LAWCET Application Form?

The steps to follow to submit the application form without any hassle are as following-

Step 1: Payment of AP LAWCET Application Fee

Before starting the registration, a stipulated fee has to be paid by the candidate as per their category. Payment can be through debit/ debit card and or AP Online. After clicking on Fee Payment Tab, a fee payment webpage will be displayed as shown in the screen.

  • After filling all the details, click on the Make Payment” button.
  • You will be redirected to the payment gateway where you need to pay the exam fee.
  • The fee can be paid via online (net banking/credit/ debit card) or offline (cash at APONLINE / TSONLINE centers) mode. Know more

Step 2: Know your Payment Status 

  • The candidate can also check the status of payment made through this option.
  • Click on ‘Know Your Payment Status’ tab
  • After clicking on Know Your Payment Status Tab, the following page will be displayed.

  • Furnish the same hall ticket number and mobile number.
  • Next, click on Check Payment Status.
  • After clicking, the status of success/Failure page will be displayed on the screen.

Step 3: Filling the Online Form

The candidate can start filling the application by selecting the tab “Fill Application (only after fee payment)” tab. Listed below are details that are to be mentioned in the form:

1. Candidate’s Details: Enter candidate’s name, DOB, gender, mother’s name, and father’s name.

2. Qualifying Exam: specify qualification (LLB/ Degree in any other stream/ Class 12). Also, mention other related information like hall ticket number of qualifying exam and place of study.

3. Entrance Exam: In this field, select the law entrance exam they want to give - PGLCET/ LAWCET- 5 Year/ LAWCET- 3 Year

4. Photo and Signature: upload the photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned below:

  • Photo size and format: Less than 30 KB, JPG file format
  • Signature size and format: Less than 15 KB, JPG file format

5. Regional Center for Test: Choose the preferable AP LAWCET exam center from the drop-down list.

6. Category: select a category you belong to as per the Caste certificate - OC/ BC-A/ BC-B/ BC-C/ BC-D/ BC-E/ SC/ ST. Also, any candidate belonging to the special category (NCC/ CAP/ Sports) needs to select the appropriate category.

7. Local Area Status: Choose the local area you belong to under this column:

  • AU (Andhra University)
  • OU (Osmania University)
  • SVU (Sri Venkateswara University)
  • Non-Local

8. Minority/ Non-Minority: Candidates belonging to the minority group (such as SC/ ST/ OBC) must click the “Minority” button and those belonging to non-minority group (General category students) need to click the “Non-minority” button.

9. Address: Provide your permanent address.

10. Class 10th: Enter class 10th education details such as board, hall ticket number, month and year of passing, and place of study.

11. Physically Challenged: It requires details of the type of physical challenge a candidate has (if applicable) - Visual Handicapped/ Hearing Impaired/ Ortho Handicapped.

12. Class 12th: Enter Standard 12th education details such board name, hall ticket number, month and year of passing, as well as place of study.

13. Annual Income of Parents: Select the annual income category under which their parents fall – Below One Lakh/ Between One Lakh and Two Lakhs/ More than Two Lakhs.

After filling in AP LAWCET application form, click on the checkbox, “I accept the Terms and the Conditions” and press the “Submit” button.

After successful submission of application form and fee, take a print out of the application form for future reference.

AP LAWCET Application Form Correction

AP LAWCET Committee provides candidates with an option to edit specific fields in the online form. It is usually a 5 days window.

Note(s):

  • Category 1 corrections will be done at CONVENER, AP LAWCET Office, Subject to thorough Verification of the Valid Documents and Approval by the Committee.
  • Candidate will do corrections related to Category 2 during the permitted period (available shortly) only.
  • These corrections will not be entertained in any form either at Regional Center or Test Centers or CONVENER, AP LAWCET office.

AP LAWCET Registration: Modes of Payment

The application fee can be paid via online and offline mode. The steps for each mode is given below:

Mode 1: Payment by NetBanking/ Credit/ Debit Card

  • This mode can be accessed only by candidates having a VISA or MASTERCARD or MAESTRO type card.
  • Select the appropriate radio button for payment of fee.
  • After the relevant Card Type logo is selected, click on “Make Payment” tab and the control will redirect you to the Bank Payment Gateway screen.
  • Now, fill in the required details carefully.

Note: Preserve Payment reference ID (after payment) for future correspondence.

Mode 2: Payment by Cash at APONLINE/ TSONLINE Centers

Alternatively, candidate can pay the registration fee by cash at any one of the APONLINE / TSONLINE centers. A list of APONLINE / TSONLINE centers is provided in the HOME page under the head payment centers. 

  • 1. Choose your nearest APOnline center.
  • Visit any of the above centers with the following mandatory details like: Hall Ticket number of the Qualifying Examination, Name of the Candidate (as per SSC), Father’s Name (as per SSC), Date of Birth.(as per SSC), Mobile number and alternate mobile number, Stream applying for 3 Years LL.B or 5 Years LL.B or LL.M/ML
  • Pay the prescribed amount in cash and collect a receipt for the Registration fee paid from the APONLINE / TSONLINE center containing a Payment Reference ID (Transaction Id).
